I purchased this red (apple red, not orange red) convertible refrigerator/freezer in January 2023. I kept meaning to write this review and decided a year and a half later that I have had enough time to write a knowledgeable review. First of all, the shipping and arrival was on time; and they delivered it and placed it right inside my front door. A couple of days later, my daughter helped me set it all up. I waited because they say you should leave a refrigerator sitting upright, turned off for 24 hours after moving it, before plugging it in. I don't know this for a fact, but since a professional told me this a long time ago, I wasn't going to take any chances. We took off all the packaging and placed it in it's spot. Then plugged it in. I am using it as a freezer. I have it set for 0° degrees, but it can actually be adjusted to colder than that, if needed. It makes almost no noise now. After the first few days I started to hear a vibrating noise, so my daughter pulled it out of the corner and it seemed that something had come loose, a plate or something like that, causing the vibration(Probably in the move/shipping of it). All she needed to do was tighten it and no more vibration! And it is very quiet now. I was nervous about buying something that big and expensive through Amazon, but I am so very glad I did! It fits perfectly where I needed it and is very pretty. Even a year and a half later, it still makes me smile when I walk into my kitchen. And it is doing a great job as a freezer.

My refrigerator arrived with the handle unable to be held securely because a screw was missing. How did the manufacturer miss this when they sold it? They have also made it extremely difficult to fix the issue. I wish I could go into detail, but Amazon insists on preventing my review when I go into detail on how badly the manufacturer responded to what should be a simple issue of making their product work correctly. UPDATE: Several other issues have come to light: At first I thought I could tolerate the noise level of this refrigerator, but it's getting really annoying. It's a LOT louder than my much larger main refrigerator. Why? The cycling on and off can be startling. As I tried to tweak the leveling of the unit, I discovered that only two of the four feet are adjustable, and the one on the side of the door hinge is nearly impossible to reach, being blocked by the hinge assembly. This means that only one of the four feet is adjustable in practice! The three remaining feet define the situation of the unit, so all you can do is adjust the one adjustable foot so it doesn't rock. It is impossible to level the unit if the floor is not perfectly flat. To level it if needed, one person has to rock the unit back or to the side, and another person has to put a shim in place. And I have an update on the missing door screw, which is almost hilarious. As soon as I unpacked the refrigerator and saw that I could not put on the handle due to one missing small screw, I called their warranty support line. They took all my information: when and where I bought it, et cetera. I thought that would do it. But no, they later sent me an email stating that I needed to repeat all that purchase information by email, with both photographs and screen shots. I did. Several days later I got another email, saying that giving the total price was not enough... they also needed a document showing how much sales tax I paid! Seriously. I'm not making this up. So I documented my sales tax payment. Several days later I got yet another email stating that they have forwarded my request for the screw to the appropriate department, and someone would get back to me when they decide how to handle the issue. Days later nothing, so I sent them an email asking when I could expect the screw so I could put the handle on my refrigerator. No response. Days later I sent another email. Still no response. So not only are they refusing to send me that two-cent screw, but they have ghosted me, not even replying to my emails. This company should not be in business!!!

I’ve had this fridge since March 2024 and I very much enjoy it. I love the temperature control of it. It is not loud at all. The decibel stated in the description is higher than what the fridge actually makes. The fridge is pretty spacious, it is true to the pictures seen where they fit a rack of rib inside. There are some designs inside the fridge I would like to change, but that’s just me overstuffing this fridge with food. The quality of the fridge is just ok, on the side of the fridge and parts of the door you can see some manufacturing errors like the surface on the side if the fridge not being smooth and protruding. these were not deal breakers because it is being used in my garage and it didn't make any funny noises or break during my 30day period.

We had the first one delivered in mid-March, including paying to have the delivery guys take it down to the basement. When I unpacked it, it was broken every which way but loose. Like someone had dropped it off a cliff before delivery. To give it credit, Amazon paid a logistics company to pick it up, although I first had to get it out of the basement and into the garage. Amazon took a hit on that sale, and it took a month to get a replacement. The previous one must have been the last one in Amazon's warehouse. Although I had to get the new one down into the basement myself (there would have to been a delay for the logistic company to make arrangements and confirm with Amazon), when I unpacked it, it was pristine and it is now running great. Good looking refrigerator/freezer - retro look, just like us. Only problem I had was putting on the handle. I had to widen out the recessed holes in the handle with a drill to put in the socket screws. Unfortunately, I did not notice it in attempting to screw on the handle, and it caused a couple of small scratches. But I am happy with the purchase - looking and running good.

Purchased thru Amazon. Despite supposedly needing to be signed for, it was left on my porch. It was damaged, but since it's more cosmetic. located in the back, and doesn't affect performance, I'll not make a stink about it. The "manual" if you can call it that, is printed in such a tiny font that I had to take pics of it and blow it up to read it....also there was no warranty card with it. The gasket at the top of the door doesn't seal properly which is causing a frost build up inside the door, (this is a frost free freezer). Since I really like the size of this freezer I decided to call their customer service dept. to see if they'd send a replacement gasket because I really don't want to return it. To my delight, they are sending a technician out to repair it!! I love when that happens. The unit has a one year warranty so I'm pleased with the response. I've read negative reviews posted in 2021 about their C.S., so I feel like they've improved on that, based on my personal experience. UPDATE: after my initial contact with the manufacturer requesting a warranty repair, I got no further response. Amazon is replacing the fridge, hopefully the next one will be defect free because I really like the size of this freezer!

I like that it uses the space efficiently. it is well designed. I use a chest freezer as a separate freezer. The fridge seems to cool evenly ; is very quiet, I have only had it a week so I can't speak to the reliability. I recommend getting a 5 year plan on any refrigeration units. They are expensive to fix and I have bought other brands that broke after a year. Had mine a few years now, bought a second one for a different house. Works great , no issues. Overall it is a nice refrigerator. The door handle swap took a while. Maybe I should have read the instructions.

We are very pleased with this purchase. It's quiet, fits our space perfectly and is life changing in providing accessible freezer space We are using as a freezer to supplement our drawer freezer in our refrigerator. I would like to have one additional glass shelf and have emailed the Support center for Galanz to see if this is an option. The freezer temp has stayed consistent and it got to temp quickly. I love the wheels on the back making maneuvering so easy. We adjusted the leveling feet on the front , added the handle to door and inserted the caps in the holes we did not use for the adjustable door opening. SO happy with this purchase to date!! I highly recommend. **** UPDATE - terrible product. Worked as I described for about 6 months, then the fan noise became intolerable. Called for warranty service - great local company however it took months to get replacement parts. Had to throw away @ $600 worth of frozen meat and meals I prepped. Got the repair done and it worked for about a month, then wasn't cooling enough for freezer setting. Lost more food, and had a second repair that took about 2 months to get authorized and new parts. 2nd repair was completed, although the freezer setting is still not working. Galanz refunded our money but I have no freezer again.

The item arrived with the plastic top broken. We were still in the driveway, literally minutes ofter dropoff, and we're taking the shipping box off when pieces fell off in my hand. It also has dents in it. I called customer service and they offered to send a new one but it would take another week. I bought this because my fridge died a week earlier. We're a family of 7 living out of coolers and buying ice. Which is great for a weekend but not 2.5 weeks. I wasn't capable of waiting anymore. So I called the company. They don't make replacement pieces so they weren't very helpful. Thankfully the giant crack and missing pieces aren't very visible where we have it. We use it as a fridge and it's great. Large bin for veggies. The door compartments holds a nice quantity of items. It has a really great seal. Takes 2 hands to open it or it slides across the room. Wish it came with an extra shelf for more storage. Overall happy with the item it self. Just wish it wasn't a disappointing issue when opening.
