Is the palm oil sustainably obtained?

Does this have preservatives in it to prevent bacteria/mold/rancid?

I don't believe there are any added preservatives, so no. It is a lye based soap so like the majority of soaps, it is naturally antibacterial and antimicrobial.

Can goats milk be added successfully to this soap? Can anything be emulsified into this base?

Your GOAT'S MILK soap base MUST be a MELT AND POUR soap base the SAME as this glycerin soap base. Anything you ADD must also be specifically made for MELT and POUR soap base. Look up additives on AMAZON for MELT and POUR soap. You can find fragrances, soap dyes, mica powders or ANYTHING to add to your melt and pour soap!

Does the soap have any distinct smell?

No smell at all. And if you do add a scent , the scent is pure.
