Really like Soap nuts, less waste and they work great.
I had bought some soap but face wash and really liked it so I thought I'd give the laundry soap nuts a try. I'm always looking for a way to reduce waste and eliminate chemicals. Soap nuts are organic and can be used for a variety of things such as shampoo, household cleanser, and even washing cars. I have used them for laundry this past week and they work great, clothes don't have any odor, are very soft, and are clean. I make my own dryer sheet with lavender oil and an old sock to give some scent to the dry clothing. I recommend this seller and product.

Great product
These have been great. Clothes are coming out clean without any smell on them. I bought them to use on our cloth diapers because my daughter is so sensitive to detergents and since using them she has not had any more diaper rash or redness on her bum. After using them on the diapers I started uing them on the laundry for the entire family and they are able to clean not just the baby clothes and diapers but my teenage sons exercise clothes also. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a safe and mild detergent that has great cleaning power. As an added note: it is recommended that you wash your clothes on warm or hot and I have not tried using this in cold water.

Stinky and stains
There is a distinct smell to these soap nuts. It's kind of a sweet and natural smell, but still, it's a scent, and if you don't like your clothing having a scent, you might not like this. Also, after washing with these, there were what looked like grease stains all over my clothes and a yellow spot on one shirt. I re-washed with regular laundry detergent and the stains came out, but I was very scared for a moment that most of my favorite clothes were ruined.

Gramma Gone Green
In my efforts to go green, I realized what a waste commercially prepared laundry detergent was. I researched and decided to try soap nuts. I'm so happy that I did. My laundry is clean, soft, and I don't have the large plastic container to deal with trying to recycle. 5 nuts easily do at least 5 loads of laundry, which makes them very cost effective! After they finish in my washer, they move on to my compost heap. Very pleased with this product!

Not happy
I only use natural products and for the past several months, I have been making my own detergent. I learned about soap nuts and thought I would give them a try. I love the concept of soap nuts but not this particular brand. I realize that there are 6 positive reviews for this size package, but if you read the reviews for this seller's one bag item, you will see many negative comments. I find that our clothes have lingering odors and some stains with these soap nuts and I have followed the instructions to a T. I have used them for a few months and I still have an unopened bag that I am stuck with and will most likely throw away, as I am outside of the return window. These soap nuts are supposed to be placed in a small canvas bag which unfortunately rips or comes open easily, so the nuts end up all throughout the load of laundry, which is a hassle, as one has to take the time to hunt and find them! Additionally, after doing research on soap nuts, I learned that they should be sticky to be effective and these are very dry. I bought a small batch of soap nuts from a local tea shop in my area, which were great, but pricey, which is why I purchased these from Amazon. I plan on trying another brand offered on Amazon to see if I am more successful.

Where have you been all my life?
These soap nuts are so cool and such an awesome way to wash your clothes without toxic chemicals or detergents. After a few washes, my towels were more absorbent and softer - no need to use dryer sheets or fabric softener. I also use them on my daughter's cloth diapers. Since there's no build up, they keep the diapers nice and soft and longer lasting. My only complaint is that the little cloth bag you put the soap nuts in to throw in the wash started to unravel and got holey after about 12 washes. When it really falls apart, I'll have to sew a new one out of cotton or muslin or something...besides that I'm thrilled with the price and performance of this very cool, eco product.

Laundry Day Again? Yipee!
OK. So who can get excited about doing laundry? Answer: once you get your Soap Nuts, you just might. If you don't like fragrance embedded in your clothes, sheets and towels... If you have even seen the waxy gunk which builds up in your washing machine (watch the service guy take the machine apart next time)...if you're just plain tired of paying a whole lot of money for laundry products, then you will love Soap Nuts. Keep a supply of specialty stain remover for special stains. Don't throw away your color safe bleach product for those cases where it is needed. Use your Soap Nuts for everyday laundry and enjoy clean clothes with no fragrance and clothes which come out of the wash softer than ever. In our hard water environment, our laundry seems to take less time to dry as well, though I can't promise that result for you. We tried it. We researched Soap Nuts on the internet. We love it!
