Not that much about the twins, mostly about the author
Interesting in parts but really not that much about the brothers other than infrequent meetings while in the same prisons with the author. Rather boring and repetitive mostly.

Do not waste your time and $ on this book.
Quite some years ago I'd read a very interesting book about the Kray twins written by someone close to them with an insider view. I couldn't remember the title so I ordered this book with the hopes that this was the one I'd so enjoyed. NOT. This was definitely not the book I had read in the past. Don't waste your time and money on this book. There are many other books about the Krays that are better, actually ANY other one is better.

Gangsters and proper Villians
Good book, learned alot about the Krays I didn't know from reading other books,Mr Bronson is an intelligent man but also a man who knows what he isn't. The book shows how penal institutions cause more problems than solve

Great read!
I think this was, as expected, a brutally honest account of Charlie's time spent with the twins. It actually did dispel some of the rumours and discredits a lot of the books written about the Kray twins based on the fact that Charles Bronson knew the twins longer than some other authors, and he never 'grassed' on them, therefore remaining a life long friend.Charlie's books are very candid, written with humour and are, at times, very heartfelt. The brutal honesty in Charles Bronson's book is the thing I was struck with. He, much like the Kray twins, makes no apology for his actions but takes no less responsibility for the good, the bad and the ugly actions of a criminal mind.I do feel the Home Secretary mistreated the twins, especially Reggie during the early days of his illness.I enjoyed every page of this book, the only thing that I skimmed over and didn't really devour was the name dropping.

Great book and interesting
Not knowing a great deal about the krays prison life it was very interesting to hear Charles Bronsons side of the story. Charles seemed very honest and fascinating from reading what prison life is like and how to survive.

Full of humour and a great read!
If you've read a lot on the Krays or just no the ins and outs, this is still a good book! Whilst it's more about personal accounts of the twins it's got great humour and Bronson is a great story teller! I myself knew nothing about Bronson himself so was a great additional read about him too! If you don't know a lot about the twins then a good read to see what people really thought about them rather then the usual silly media stories!
