Rega Planar 1 Plus Turntable. Matt White Finish with Rega Carbon Cartridge and built in Phono Stage/Phono Pre-Amp. 2021 Version.

I'm not saying the built in pre-amp is bad. It's not. It sounds great. But it's noticeably less interesting than any of the sub £200 options available.The turntable is gorgeous but you're better off getting the standard Planar one for a cheaper price and putting the saving towards an external pre-amp.I really don't know why Rega couldn't have put a switch on the back to allow you to bypass the internal pre-amp.

Great sound I can’t fault that but it’s expensive for the money I decided to buy British whenever I can from now on this fits the bill , a few minor niggles if I was being really picky the arm does not go back at the end of the record like old players , you have to remove turntable to change the speed , not that I play many 45 s but it’s a pain , the lid needs to be spring loaded it just slots into place but doesn’t really work that well but the sound quality I can’t fault it seems to eliminate the scratches out of some well used old records, so I would definitely recommend

Turntable sold in UK, arrives with Type 1 Australia/New Zealand/China 2 pin plug. Can’t use until adapter arrives or I can get UK 3 pin plug. Amazon solution to return for refund, order again. it’s their couldn’t care less attitude that hacks me off. If order it again how will I know what plug will come with it.! Will contact seller to investigate but Friday evening I am truly hacked off by Amazon’s attitude with no real solution.

This is an industry standard turntable. Excellent quality build and sound and very easy to plug and play using the built in pre-amp in to active speakers.The Rega Carbon cartridge fitted as standard sounds fine, but it jumps every now and then...this is not down to the records, as they play perfectly on my other turntable (an old Rega P3 with Elys 2 cartridge).The Rega P1 should not jump/skip on any record (assuming it's not scratched), so it's really disappointing this happens, hence 3 stars...you have no way of adjusting the balance/tracking/anti-skate etc. so I'm stuck with it. The turntable is on a perfectly flat and solid surface.Great sound is only so good if the turntable doesn't play the records properly - disappointing 🤦‍♂️

Replacement for my old 1979 Pioneer deck that was getting tired.Pre amp built in and it gives fantastic sound.Edit... After a couple of years of use it still sounds great.

Rave reviews across trade press are accurate, this is an absolute winner. Having an in built, quality pre-amp is a huge bonus. Very easy to set up too. I paired it with Kano 6 speakers & the combination gives exceptional sound quality. Classic albums are brought to live. Highly recommended.

Good turntable. Very easy to assemble and use. Looks great. Only complaint: was missing the mat so I had to buy one separately.
