Not as good as I thought
OK for a cavity filling, but not for a broken tooth. Great for the cost and looks great in where my filling came out.I also had a capped front tooth ( must be over 20 year old ) broke while eating a biscuit. I did everything as per instruction but after having to try and repair the broken cap/tooth ( cap broke off exposing the tooth) I give up . It just wouldn't adhere to the tooth and cap.Bought repair type, beads you put in hot water to soften and applied worked first time(just buy a packet of the beads and not a repair pack, cost penny's not pounds.

It does work if you do it properly
It is fiddly when you first try to use this stuff. I found that if you do a bigger ball in your fingers then when you push it into the hole where your filling used to be and push it in (carefully) then it will fill the crevice much more than trying to put a little bit in and top the hole up. Putting it in bit by bit you will probably find that it falls out layer by layer quickly. Putting a big lump in the hole at once is the bast way.Unless you are really good with working in your own mouth forget about using the 'tool' that comes with it lol. Wash your hands, rinse your mouth out with warm water and then straight away put a ball of the filler in in one go. Bit your teeth down not too hard though then rinse out carefully) the excess filler from your mouth. Try not to use your tongue to keep 'checking' the filling is still filled. After about a couple of hours it will be pretty hard. My two fillings that fell out are in teeth that have grand canyon holes in them! but this stuff fills them in and does last around a week or two before I need to do it again. Above all having this filler in stops the risk of getting an abscess etc. So take your time when doing this and chew more carefully. I found once the filling has hardened brushing teeth is not really an issue. Again brush more tenderly on the filled tooth/teeth. Overall I wish I new about this temp stuff ages ago as my holes would have been a lot smaller than today. I have great teeth and look after them but age and neglect of not going to dentists for check ups has its downside. Ps: you can start checking it with your tongue after a good few hours or days. This way means you can then feel if any has came out, but as long as the main hole feels that it is still covered and filled a bit... then you'll be fine therefore saving the product for longer term use. Shalom, Gavriel.

Good, but can be messy to apply and doesn’t last long
I've had to use this a number of times over the summer lockdown for a filling that had come out but of which I couldn't get to a dentist to replace. It works but can be a little messy to apply. It's a sort or putty-like material that comes as a cylindrical unit that has to have the amount needed broken off it. A plastic applicator is supplied to help with this and to push the material into the filling. In theory it's supposed to work, but I found it quicker and better with a knife to cut it and then to use my fingers to push it into the filling. I found I could push it down harder and make it a better fit that way. Often I either had to put more in or had put too much in and have to scrape it off again. It was initially difficult to get right. More often than not some or all of it ended up in the sink. It also often ended up on the outside of the tooth too. Mind, this might just be me and other people may find it easier to apply. Usual application was either last thing at night just before going to bed or when I was sure I wouldn't be eating for a couple of hours to give it plenty of time to harden. As good and as convenient as it was, I noticed it didn't last long and found I was still predominantly chewing on the other side of my mouth, because if not it tended to start coming out in little pieces. I tried both putting it in dry and wet and neither really made much of a difference. I found too that every day, day-and-a-half or two days I was having to replace it. I didn't mind as such as the instructions make it clear that it's only a temporary solution and that a dentist should be sought as soon as possible afterwards, but I found I was either spitting out bits or accidently swallowing them when they came out at odd times during the day or while eating. I don't know what effect this will ultimately have but looking at the composition I would certainly prefer that I wasn't.My total usage of the product was probably over a two month or so period so I've been able to give it a really good try. I suppose for normal use when a dentist can be quickly sought afterwards it's okay and suffices as a temporary repair, but used over the extended period I had to use it for it was becoming a bit of a bind. At least it saved my tooth and I could eat for brief periods on both sides of my mouth if I really wanted to. Also, it was cheaper through Amazon. Please note that it was used on an average-sized filling right in the middle of a tooth with good sides. My verdict is that it's okay but the next time around I'll maybe look for an alternative, but will perhaps still keep some handy for an emergency when travelling.

AMAZING
This item is amazing! It lasts around 3 months. I put a small amount into my cavity & use the tool to push it down and then add more to fill the hole in & bite down.I always do it before I go to bed so it’s set when I wake up. If you’re having problems with your fillings I can not stress enough how amazing this product is. The pack I went for had 2 pots of filling & Iv used around 1/3rd of the 1st pot doing a large back tooth hole and a small hole.

Product recently seems to have changed for the worse
The last two purchases of this product, September and November 2025, have been absolutely useless. The product itself felt different, much harder and less malleable than previously, and it did not bond with the tooth, simply falling out whole within maximum 48 hours, often sooner, despite avoiding chewing on it (this was in the same position where a previous temporary filling made from an older batch of this same product had stayed put for several weeks).Bought this product several times since 2017, just-in-case. When needed it used to work very effectively - once we figured out the best way to use it, last thing at night to allow to set fully. Depending what it was used for it could stay in place for weeks, sometimes longer, and held up to normal eating and vigorous brushing before gradually crumbling away. The putty also remained effective for many months after the little pot was opened.Note: re-purchased in November assuming product bought September was a faulty batch, it hadn't been needed until October as we still had a bit of product left from previous purchase January 2024 which worked as expected. The two recent purchases are from different batches, so perhaps the manufacturer has changed the formula. If so then it's no longer a viable choice.

Easy to use...very effective... 😄
This temporary tooth repair is really good. So simple to use. The pot lid is a little hard to open...but would be to keep the contents from drying out.Just take a little of the mixture ftom the pot rub between finger & thumb to soften & apply to tooth for temporary filling. After a couple of hours you can eat & drink. The cavity is closed & protected until you can get to the dentist.I lost a filling over Christmas...bought a kit which was so fiddly needing to make up mixture put in hot water etc etc...it went in the bin as couldnt get it to soften!I ordered this one step kit ftom Amazon..arrived the next day...did the job so efficiently...I am impressed...!Christmas festivities could continue🤣It is recommended to visit dentist within 48 hours...obviously not always possible these days especially over a holiday. My temporary filling has been in for a week now..is very solid..eating & drinking as normal....so no distress waiting for my appointment next week👌.I would add.... recommend for travel first aid kit !!!!!!

Long lasting and helps
I was having took pain for a few days before I noticed I had a hole in one of my back molars. After quotes to go private at a dentist to fix it, I knew I needed a cheaper alternative whilst I save up. I bought this to try and it is definitely very effective! I used it over a week ago and it is still in place and going strong!I would say that it is very fiddly to use and the tool is pretty much useless. Just use your finger and hope for the best. It doesn’t completely replace the need to visit the dentist as there is still mild pain when eating harder foods, but it is definitely worth it for the time being.
