Better Than Kraft Minute Tapioca
The quality of this tapioca is much better that the old standby Kraft who I understand no longer makes the product. The tapioca is finer in grade (be sure to shake well to mix the granules before using) and for pure tapioca flavor is much better and more "pudding like.". If using as a thickener, probably doesn't matter other than the quantity used may be a little different. Also a great bargain. This is a lot of tapioca, but seems to store well (so far anyway).

If you like tapioca pudding or need a thickener, this is it.
During this pandemic, for some reason instant tapioca pudding boxes have become extinct in the grocery stores in Austin. Some of the websites even say the stores have it, but when I got, it's not there, so maybe people are buying it like crazy in the little boxes like Jello boxes. So, I decided to order this huge jar of GRANULATED tapioca. My wife said NOT to get the large pearls, but get the granulated and that's what this is. She made tapioca pudding the first day we got it (there are NO INSTRUCTIONS on the container but they are the same instructions as on the old box, and they are on the internet), and I ate two bowls while they were still warm and it was delicious. Since then, she has used it as a thickener in a cobbler and in custard pies at Thanksgiving and Christmas. This is a great buy and the product is great, but tapioca pudding takes a little work and stirring, so this is not something you just dump in a pan and it fixes itself. But I'm glad we got it. In fact writing this review has made me hungry for tapioca pudding so I'm stopping now to go make some.

YAY! Perfect Homemade Tapioca.........
We are SO excited to get this product for several reasons. One is the quantity (we bought two of these containers!). Stores here in Alaska just aren't carrying the boxes much anymore, and the prices have gone through the roof. We belong to a group that loves to have members bring desserts to our weekly evening meetings, and in fruit based foods, tapioca is THE thickener. Secondly, homemade tapioca contains NO chemicals, additives, or artificial ingredients. 3/4 cup of dry tapioca in 11 cups of nonfat powdered milk (mixed the day before), with 1 1/3 cups sugar and 4 eggs, cooked until thickened, then with 4 teaspoons of Vanilla Extract, makes a huge amount for a family. Add canned, frozen, or fresh fruit, a dab of whipped cream for presentation, and you have a healthy dessert that most kids will love. We'd like to thank the small company that provided these two containers (that can be reused or recycled) for their great service!

Tapioca
A little larger than instant. A good tapioka. Cooks well.

Makes great tapioca pudding
I've been making lots of homemade puddings lately for desserts - much less expensive than ice cream, since ice cream prices have gotten crazy since the pandemic. This is the second time I have bought this tapioca. It is just as good as the small boxes from the grocery stores, and more cost effective too.

Better than Minute Tapioca
I was skeptical when I first ordered this product. Had only used Minute Tapioca my entire life and I am in my 70's. My husband loves tapioca so I was certain he would not approve of this change. However, it was the middle of the pandemic and our small local grocery store no longer carried Minute Tapioca so I took a chance. We were so pleasantly surprised! Wincrest has a better texture and the taste is wonderful. I did follow the recipe for Fluffy Tapioca Cream on the Minute Tapioca box which is the recipe I have always used. That is the only drawback about Wincrest. There is no recipe on container. Highly recommend this product!
