By adding more air or deflating it, you can change the resistance for feet bouncing. I tend to do more see-saw action with my feet – I wanted something that would offer some resistance to push against with my feet, not just a foot rest, so this has met my needs well. Tip if using in a classroom or shared office space! The rubber is a little squeaky when bouncing/pushing against the floor. I find the sound distracting. I had an extra bath mat that I put under it and that eliminated the distracting noise. I have wood floors and expect the sound would happen on any hard surface.
