Gut Feelings: The Microbiome and Our Health

Umfassend

Good book.
Fasano is very smart, but kind of long winded. Book could have been half as long. Good thing about the book is that he discussed the microbiome from many different points of view, and interviews other experts on it.Fasano's book, and "Fiber fueled" are the two best books on the microbiome that I've seen. Good to also watch videos on this topic, and on leaky gut.Med cram has an interesting video on "xenosialitis," which is a form of inflammation due to sialates in beef.I have some videos at my you tube channel "Peter Rogers MD" on autoimmune disease, as well as on the role of fiber in abdominal pressure syndrome. Abdominal pressure syndrome is closely related to the microbiome, and intestinal permeability.

very important information for our gut
Very readable, but highly scientific information that is captivating...I have been a long time follower of Dr.Fasano, having worked at the University of Md, in Baltimore as a nurse at the same time he did his initial studies on Celiac disease. I was glad to read Gluten Freedom, since I am gluten sensitive and haver managed it very well. I highly recommend this latest studies on the Microbiome and the incredible importance of taking good care of it in our bodies, thank youDr. Fasano and Susie Flaherrty.

Amazing Science….
It’s funny how all of this is going on in the medical science field and many people have no idea, it’s been happening for years…You really need to be an independently educated patient and consumer in our society to protect your health, sad but true. I took my kids for their annual physicals and was proud my kids told the doctor they eat a diet that helps feed their “gut buddies” for better health. 🤓😂

Fascinating book
The book is very scientific. However, anyone with a general understanding of pathophysiology & disease would find this extremely interesting.
