I use this product with other ingredients (mycorrhizal fungae and beneficial bacteria) to make a compost tea, which I then feed into a deep water culture system. The idea being that the good guys outbreed the bad guys, keeping things like cyanobacteria and pythium at bay.I've used this practice for years, and you can tell the quality of the worm castings by the amount of foam produced while the tea bubbles with the air stones (need a highly aerobic environment). I've never seen so much foam while making a brew, and the resulting tea cleared the brown slime which was starting to form on my routes within 48 hours.There's no doubt this is a really good quality product, and the additional NPK is a small bonus - but the humic acids and micro elements add the most value to my specific use case. I keep lava rocks at the bottom of my reservoir to give the good bacteria a nice place to live and this keeps them effective for far longer durations in otherwise sterile environments.Only negative is the packaging. I understand the cost saving of a zip lock baggie, but when you're trying to tip the castings into a sock which you intend to tie off with an airstone inside, it can get pretty messy. Organis gardeners are brewing compost teas as much as us hydroponic growers these days, so a package which allows for better dispensing would be appreciated. This is the only fly in an otherwise stellar ointment!

Easy to use and store

I didnt grasp how tiny the package was till I saw it. No bigger than a small packet of protein powder.AND only two thirds full.I'm afraid this is a complete rip off for the price.And I fear its full of fly eggs.
