You never need batteries. There is a rechargeable battery inside the unit which charges every time you plug the unit in. The rechargeable battery will last for as long as you own the unit.

Are these seriously just 5 watt speakers? what crap sound this must have. no bass ?!?

There are many different ways to measure power and we use the most conservative version of RMS. The reviews confirm the power of the Sound Station is superior, but if you are looking for even more power and bass, Studebaker will introduce a unit with a powerful sub-woofer in the second half of 2022. Maybe you can wait :)

Is there a remote control, yes or no, what is the truth?

no remote control. of course, if you are streaming from a device, the Bluetooth is wireless and you will control everything for steaming from the device like a remote control.

Does this sound station (SB2140S) device have a car adaptor so it can be played through your car speakers?

This unit will not play through your car speakers. You can buy a car/boat adapter to play the unit using your car's power outlet to save your rechargeable battery power, but the sound will still come through the unit's speakers and not the car's speakers.
