No Nonsense, Good Quality Binders
The Avery Economy View 3 Ring Binders are an excellent set of binders, perfect for my high school son's needs. The son noted that the binders are sturdy, well made, and hold all of his papers perfectly. He likes how the O-rings are set on the back of the binder instead of on the spine, so pages won't get that telltale bend on the holed edges. Pages lay flat after being snapped in, and the O-rings are easy to open by simply pulling on them, or using the tabs at the ends. There are two pockets inside of the binders for storing sundry papers like random-sized index cards or unholepunched sheets, and you can slide a paper in the exterior pockets to help identify what's inside each binder. The binders are great enough quality that the son noted he would like me to order them again should he need more binders.

Sleek Looking Binders, but Not for Kids
As a college student, I am always looking to save money where I can, so when I saw the opportunity to purchase four three-ring binders for $8.88, I was quick to act on what I perceived to be a great deal. I wasn’t wrong. These binders, made by Avery, claim to be a “sturdy binder for light use.” To me that sounds almost contradictory, but for the price I was able to get them at, I was willing to give them a try. As previously mentioned, I was able to purchase this 4-pack for $8.88. However, I do not mean to convey that as the normal price. These binders sell on the company’s website for $8.31 each. When these binders arrived, and I opened the box, I simply found four loose binders inside, with no further packaging, so to call this a “Multipack” would be a misnomer. This isn’t really an issue, for if they would have been packaged together, I would have had to open the packaging anyway, but I do find it to be false representation of the product.Avery, as a company, is primarily a labeling company, which is how they got their start. They have since expanded to manufacturing other office supplies as well, such as the binders I was able to purchase. They seem to have been thoughtful about how they chose to expand because while I wouldn’t consider them one of the top names in office supplies, they’re a solid company that is putting products in the market that retailers seem to trust. These “view binders”, as Avery calls them, are marketed to have a customizable spine and front cover. For this reason the rings are mounted against the back cover. The customization is achieved by a clear film overlaid on the front cover and spine that you can slide a paper in that contains your graphic or a label of some kind. Inserts for these customisable surfaces are not included, but there are templates available on the company’s website.Apart from the customization of this product, there is two interior pockets, one on each cover, that you are able to place loose papers in, however, these pockets use the same film that is on the cover, so I do not believe they would stand up to heavy use. The mounting used on the back cover also leaves the rivets exposed, which may be a problem for some.Overall, I believe the company’s claim to be a “sturdy binder for light use” to be quite accurate. Their sleek professional look adds to their charm, and are great for adults or more mature students, but would not be durable enough to give to children who have yet to learn how to care for their belongings. This durability is my only concern about these binders, and for that they earn 4 out of 5 stars.

Good quality for an economy or budget binder
Durable for general purpose binder tasks. Ring closure and ease of opening are perfect out of the box. I like the ability these have the clear view insert to label it and not use stickers. Reasonable value in a multi pack of binders.

Binder for Light Use, Not for Kid
I bought these economy binders for my kid to use. He used one twice a week. After 3-4 months, the cover tiered quite a lot. I have to patches with dust tape to hold the cover in one piece. When it reaches about 6 months, the ring got loose and does not hold the sheet well.If you wants a durable binder, look somewhere else.
