Q: Does anyone know where the astaxanthin used in this product is sourced. A lot comes from Hawaii but it could also be from India or China. Thanks.

I am curious myself; went to Viva's website, as well as doing a google search, but found nothing. They have a phone #: 800-921-8482. I have yet to call, but have been using the product for over a year with positive results. (My biggest concern for "anything" coming out of Hawaii is radiation from Fukushima. I live in CA--the Bay area--and have, sadly, stopped eating local seafood. The media here gives zero radiation info. Also, UC Berkeley stopped posting air/water radiation levels just one month after the tsunami. They had been posting their readings for over 20 years...and suddenly stopped.)

Q: Does anyone know if viva labs is a nsf or even gmp certified? i'm assuming they aren't as there doesn't appear to be any such seals on this product.

" All Viva Labs products are manufactured in an FDA approved, GMP Certified Facility." according to Viva Labs' website. Their krill oil, their other product that I've purchased, is Consumer Lab approved, and independently tested and certified by IKOS.

Q: Description says 12 mg but bottle say 4 explain please

I don't see 12 mg in the description.There is 4 mg per cap 120 caps per container. Recommended dose 1 cap per day. Both descriptions seem consistent to me.
