Hooshing Silicone Tubing 4mm ID x 6mm OD 10 Ft Food Grade Rubber Hose

After about a decade of getting out of the aquarium hobby I decided to get back into it and needed some basic equipment. This is a great solid tube that’s nice and thick and flexible. Not super soft so it retains structure but still easily flexible when needed. I’m using it attached to a solid plastic tube for siphoning and it works perfectly.

I needed to replace hoses in a machine at work, and this silicone tubing worked out great. The silicone is soft yet has structural integrity. It fit exactly as expected, and you can replace multiple lines with the 10' of tubing included.

Quality is as expected

I decided to brew my own beer. I needed tubing to transfer the "wort" to the fermenter. This silicone tubing is the real deal. Quality: It’s food grade, so my beer won't taste like tires. It handles high heat—I ran boiling water through it and it didn't melt or get stiff. Flexibility: It’s super floppy, in a good way. It doesn't kink. I can route it around corners easily. Transparency: It’s clear enough that I can watch the liquid flow, which is surprisingly mesmerizing. This tubing is "beer-y" good. It’s a "pipe" dream come true.

Due to the tight bundling of the tubing, some of the bends actually compressed, causing some inconsistency in the smoothness of the tubing. Fortunately, I was able to cut one portion away, and the other two spots did not disturb liquid flow. I created a mini water fountain stone sculpture, and needed to use this tubing to get the water from the pump to the top of the structure. The product worked fine. I'm glad there was more than ample length of tubing, since I had to cut off the damaged piece. Overall, satisfied with the tubing, but disappointed in the the tight bundling. Tubing appears to be of very good quality.

Was pleased with the quality of the product, and it arrived quickly and well packaged. Be aware if an exact fit is important to you, that the sizing is a little off. It wasn't suitable for my application, as I need it to stretch fit over a barb and be airtight. The actual ID of the 2mm size I ordered was closer to 2.4mm and wouldn't hold on the barb. Have ordered the 1.5mm nominal, and am hoping that will fit better.

There was a defect in my product and it utterly damaged my brand new home. DO NOT BUY THIS FOR INSTALLING BIDETS. It’s awful!!
