The key broke off into the lock the very first time I used it. It just crumbled apart at the base and was rendered useless. I wasn't applying unusual pressure, this was just a cheap piece if crap.

In order to be able to lock it up at more locations, I needed a flexible bike lock. A friend of mine had their bike stone because they used a cheap/thin bike lock, so I wanted to make sure I got a heavy duty bike lock. I eventually stumbled across this one, and I decided to order it.The lock arrived within a few days and I took it out of the package. It came in the usual amazon box, and the lock was basically just attached to some piece of cardboard with instructions on it. The lock was definitely Chinese or Japanese and was covered in non-English instructions. There was also a slip of paper that was included that gave the English instructions for the lock. I was able to set up the lock and get it working. This is a really good security combo cable bike lock. Most of these combination bike locks only come with four digit combinations. This one comes with a 5 digit combination which to me is just a little bit more security and keeping your personal combo safe and hard to figure out. This security combo cable bike lock comes with a mounting bracket that you can install on your bike and have your combination cable easily accessible. This security combo cable bike lock has a thicker gauge of Steel cable which is wrapped with a rubberized coating to protect your bike from getting scuffed up. I would consider this cable bike lock mid-level security because with a really good set of cable cutters it can be broken still. I would use this cable for short-term use. If you are changing your bike up overnight I would use a u lock or a strong chain and lock instead. Now, if you combine this Steel Cable bike lock, for securing your tires, and use a u lock for securing your bikes frame then you'd have high level security. all in all, I think this is a very well made security combo steel cable bike lock for mid-level security. if you are in the market for a product such as this, then do not hesitate to buy from this seller. I received this combination cable for a bike that I recently purchased. This cable is heavy duty and I feel confident that this cable will prevent someone from trying to steal my bike. I have used other cables in the past and they were never this well built. One thing I didn't like was that the instructions were in Chinese. I would have liked the bike cable to have come with better instructions. I have witnessed someone's bike getting stolen because they did not have it locked up with a cable. I think it is well worth the money for the protection you are getting. This cable might not keep a persistent robber from taking your bike but it might make them avoid working so hard to take it your bike.

This security combination cable bike lock is very well made. It is very durable. It is very easy to lock and to unlock . The cable is a little hard at first to work but once you work with it, it can be used with ease. It fits nicely around the bar on my husbands bike so he can store it while he is riding and use it to lock up the bike. He also used it to lock up lawn equipment. The material around the cable is very durable and will last for a long time. I did receive this product at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest review. A great, solid lock with a combo lock that is easily programmed to a number that you can remember. The only hard part is it's not very long, so it's hard to use with multiple bikes.
