Works great!
I purchased this for my outdoor fish pond. I was having trouble keeping the water clean so I purchased a rain barrel that looked like a wiskey barrell to filter the water through and added pebbles, rocks and this medium on top. Itโs spring now and I donโt have any live plants yet because of the dangers of frost but the water is pretty clear compared to years in the past.

Good product, well made, lasts for years
Like this because of them length, and I can cut a new piece each year. This will definitely last a while, good filter. Might have to go with one a little thicker next time but this one is really collecting the algae and keeping my pump free of junk. The UV light really is the one that improves water quality, but this is a helper as well.
