It is gorgeous during the day but the solar light is incredibly dim, can hardly tell it is lit up.

This is a beautiful piece of artwork. While it is sturdy, getting it to stand is a bit complicated. Instead of shipping it with two horseshoe spikes to place around the feet to keep it in place, it might make more sense for the feet to have spikes below them that go 4" into the ground.As decoys go, it is so shiny, sparkly and pretty, I don't think it's fooling any birds. We bought this after a blue heron ate two of our koi. I think the net that we've draped over the pond is likely more effective.

This is exactly what I wanted for in the dry creek bed I am building that will be surrounded by semi-tropical plants. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the metal (keeps getting knocked over inside the house by the animals and kids, no dings, dents or scratches) and coloring on it considering the price. It does light in the dark via a solar light in the body and small slits between the 'feathers' but it is not a lot of light. The solar panel itself looks a bit cheap and shoddily put in the back of the crane so I don't know how long the light will last. Overall though, if you are looking for some cool, sturdy and pretty yard/garden sculpture, this is for you.

The item met all expectations. Knew what the size was. Colors were good and putting it together was very easy. A Christmas gift that will be used outside in a yard already filled with year around decorations. LMc
