1/2" Router Collet fit for Dewalt 326286-03, Bosch 2610906284,Big Horn 19693 & Hitachi 325-199, 323-421, RC050DW

I bought an Open box return from Harbor freight that did not come with the 1/4 collet. After doing a few days of searching I figured I’d give this one a shot. Got here next day and at first glance I thought it’s not going to fit. But I tried it and it worked like a charm. Threw in a straight cut bit and went to town on a few pieces of scrap. I’ll say even though with tax at $12 and $82+40%off with ITC membership for the Router open box I still came out cheaper than $130 brand new. This saved me a ton of money. All I use is 1/4 shank bits. I don’t own 1/2 shank bits. I’ll probably order more just in case I lose this one.

I was a little skeptical about buying this, but was quite pleasantly surprised. Reviews of other, similar products mentioned 3 major things. The size of the collett nut IS 22mm, the same size as the stock DeWalt collett nut. Others are 24 mm. The collett does sit flush with the nut when a bit is installed and the nut tightened. The threads fit perfectly. I did not have to force anything. Reviews of other products indicated that the nut bound up or felt like it was cross-threaded after a couple of turns. One thing I did notice was that it took 2.5 turns of the collett nut before the bit freed up to remove it where the stock DeWalt nut takes only about a half turn. This isn't an issue for me.

I bought my Hitachi KM12VC router in 2019. From the beginning, the 1/4” collet would not self-eject. When removing a bit, the nut would loosen and then separate from the tapered collet. I complained to Hitachi and they sent me a “new improved” collet that worked for a short time but then did the same thing. There are numerous complaints on the internet with the same issue. I tried this Thaekuns six times and it self-ejects nicely. The threads were a little tight, but after few tightenings, they feel normal. The collet runs true with no vibration. The Hitachi 1/2" collet was never a problem. I think Thaekuns fixed the problem by reducing the wall thickness at the bottom of the collet so it looks more like the 1/2” collet, see photo. And this 1/4” collet has more relief grooves.

Broke my DeWalt Collet for my router. Good reviews so I purchased and they worked great. Bought a 1/2 and a 1/4 for various bit sizes. Awesome price compared to DeWalt OEM replacement. Just crazy Dewalt prices.

Fits a Bosch 1617 Router but the socket size changes from the standard 24mm. You will need a different set of wrenches to fit this unit.

Je l'ai commandé pour ma défonceuse Hikoki, ça fonctionne très bien. Le seul désavantage est qu'il faut une clé de 24 mm pour cette bague alors qu'Hikoki utilse du 23 mm sur ses bagues. Je recommande cet article.
