My 5 & 7yr old love dragonwood. i’m looking for something new to add to our card games. do you think they will grasp dragonrealm or2 complex?

The two games are very similar. They both use the same card/dice actions. In stead of fighting individual creatures they’re using cards and rolling dice to put their wood figures on a card. Whoever has the most figures on the card win the card. In my opinion it’s so similar to dragon wood it’s not worth having both. Some card games my daughter also liked at that age were rat-a-tat cat, sparkle kitty, and Mr Toast. Labyrinth is a good board game if you are in the market for something a little bigger.

Will Dragonrealm make sense and be enjoyable if we don’t own dragonwood?

Yes. Although the artwork is similar, they are two different style games. I actually like Dragonrealm a little better because it allows for different strategies to win. Dragonwood is fun too and uses some strategy, but a lot of it boils down to the”luck of the draw.”

If you have 2 copies of Dragonrealm, can you play with up to 8 players?

I wouldn't recommend this game for more than 4 players; the best number of players for this game is 3 players, because as it is, the waiting time is long enough even for 4 players count. The game plays decent at 4 players, but it's not nearly as good as for 3.

Does this game come with the little goblin figure shown in the pictures?

Mine did not come with the little figure.
