Bonsenkitchen Toaster, 2-Slice Extra-Wide Slot Toaster Pan with Defrost/Bagel/Cancel Function, 7 Shade Setting, Stainless Steel Bagel Toaster, TA8901 (Black)

I purchased this item, thinking it was a good product. How wrong was I, it did not accept British sized sliced bread, it only browned half the slice and more importantly it tripped out the electrics almost every time we tried to use it. Sorry but it ended up in the dustbin as it was unsafe to use.

I used a standard slice of Hovis, and when it was upright, almost two inches poked out above the top ! I tried putting the slice of bread in on its side, but the slot wasn't long enough. Was it too much to hope that I could buy a toaster that toasts bread?

As others have said it does not toast top of regular slice of bread. Also it does not do both sides the same. But unless you are very fussy about your toast, that does not matter. I bought it because it is small and compact and fits in the space I had for my old (30 years old!) toaster.

I like this product as it is clean, neat, & tidy, & does not use a lot of pace in my kitchen. My only gripe is that wherever I looked I could only find toasters that were 'wide slots'. Could not find one that had 'deep slots'. When you put a standard slice in this toaster, like all other toasters, it stand proud of the toaster. The only answer i have found is to cut a bit off the end of the slice & put it in sideways. But customers should not have to do this.

Well great it's extra wide so it fits crumpets in nicelyOh and it's easy to cleanHowever if you want to toast a slice of bread hovis warburtons any of them then don't bother buying this toaster because you have to cut the crusts of for it to fit in because of the length and height of the area to put the bread in

Currently waiting to hear back from the manufacturer. Doesn't seem to function properly - isn't lifting crumpets and small loaf slices out etc. One arm inside seems bent further down than it should be. And to be honest it is either turned down to 3 and we have to cook it twice or on 4 it almost burns.

The good point is you can easily fit in muffins and crumpets but the downside is it isn’t very wide so you have to put bread in on end and flip it over on part ways through cooking

Product unwrapped & instruction booklet read before considering use.This is just a 2 page photocopy & hardly in correct english.So as make not well-known as I said product wrapped up & about to be returned.Will now purchase a well-known brand.
