Metal bubbling up on the inside bottom rim of the bowl
I have had this bowl for a little over a year now. It has been sitting in my cabinet for the most part. I have only used it a few times. While recently cleaning I took the bowl out and noticed that on the bottom of the bowl, on the inside, it looks like the metal is bubbling in a perfect half circle along the inside bottom rim. That is an undeniable sign of poor quality. I have bowls I have picked up at the grocery store for a few dollars that have not done that. I had to go back through my Amazon purchases to find the name brand of this bowl, since they do not put their name anywhere on the bowl. The fact that they don't put their name on their product should have been a warning sign to me in the beginning. I cannot believe I paid so much for such a disappointment. Oh well, you win some and you lose some. Buyer beware. You have been warned.

Great deal, nice bowl, sturdy construction
While I wasn't willing to plunk down $80 for an overpriced All-Clad mixing bowl, I was looking for a stronger than usual, commercial-style mixing bowl, sturdier than what is typically sold at say, Target or Bed Bath & Beyond. This mixing bowl is easy on the wallet, and is a strong little number as well. The steel is definitely quality, and fairly thick, and the bottom is also flat for a better grip on one's countertop. I also purchased the smaller 2-quart bowl as well, and the bottom of that is sheathed in an attractive blue rubber, that also enhances traction on countertops. My only gripe is that now I need to buy the 6 quart as well, for larger jobs such as cake batter or salads. Really a nice set. But, I'd say save yourself some money and get the bowls individually, rather than the set of 3 bowls for $49.99 that Amazon is also offering.

Great bowl, irritating sticker residue
These bowls are great. Thus is my 2nd Amco stainless bowl, and I'm very impressed by how thick and sturdy the steel is for the cost. They hold up beautifully to mixer beaters and metal whisks, as well as anything else you might scrape around in there. Overall the bowls are five stars, easy.I docked one star because the labels that come on the bowl are INFURIATING to remove. They tear apart rather than pull off cleanly. If there were simply one label on the bottom of the bowl, I might let it slide. But they put one *inside* the bowl as well. You have no choice but to remove it and all of the glue residue. It took five minutes (not exaggerating) of scraping and rubbing with both water and rubbing alcohol to remove all of it. In the end I got the inside label completely cleaned off, but I gave up on the one on the outside. It's still there, and probably will be for a while. Buy some better labels, Amco. It's really stupid to have to do that just so you can use this bowl for the first time.

Functional but one annoying feature.
Stainless steel bowls are a staple in my kitchen. We use them for tossing salads, mixing pancake and waffle batter on weekends, rinsing fruits and vegetables, marinating meats, etc. This bowl works perfectly for all of the above. The 3 quart size is perfect for small to medium amounts of all of the above. I like the high sides, which is great for preventing spillage. I like the flat bottom, which gives the bowl stability. But one thing that I don't like is that the bottom of bowl pushes in and out. The best way I can describe it is like when you open a jam jar for the first time and top, which was suctioned to the jar, pops out. The bottom of this bowls can be bowed in or out with your fingers, which is annoying. I am on the fence about returning it, because I have the identical bowl, purchased about a year ago, that doesn't have this problem. The bowl will work fine but clearly the quality control has dropped since the last one of these I bought.

doesn't sit level on the counter
Super disappointed. I bought these bowls about 10 years ago and wanted more: they were great! But this version is a slightly different shape (ok, but not awesome) and doesn't sit level on the counter!! I bought 2 and both rocked when placed down. They're going back--and I have to pay shipping. UGH!!! Don't buy.

Rust spots after just one day & impossible to remove sticker adhesive = FAIL
This bowl looks nice on the outside, but it fails to live up to the product description. It came with stickers on the outside and the bottom of the interior. I have not been able to remove either sticker. I really didn't care about the one on the outside, but this is intended for food use, and it's not acceptable to have lingering adhesive where it would come into contact with food. After soaking it in dish soap and water for a day, 2 small rust spots appeared on the inside of the bowl. It looks like there is a thin coating of stainless steel over some other material that is prone to rusting.

Good quality, low price, what's not to like.
Cleaning plastic bowls is a real pain, and ceramic/glass bowls are heavy. Stainless steel is easy to clean and light, reserve your ceramic/glass stuff for acidic foods and toss the plastic.

Small but sturdy
This one is small and is better suited for small quantities. Not very appropriate for liquids, as they would splash out of the bowl, although a couple of beaten eggs can be worked fine in it, as well as a small amount of vinaigrette. For batter or whipping eggs, it is better to use a bigger one. It is very solid and sturdy and worth the higher price tag.
