Does the job
I’ve had this for about 12 years now. Bought it to protect a 18,000 BTU Split Air A\C mounted on side of house . It has done the job well and still holding up to extreme heat ( summers over 100 most days) and torrential rains . Good value & quality.

Good enough for now.
Not bad for the price. The plastic panels are fairly lightweight and don't seem like they'll be durable for years to come. The brackets are just plastic as well. When we get a hard rain the water actually gets inside the ribs of the panels. If that freezes... well, they'll just split right open. Anyway, it wasn't hard to assemble, just a little awkward holding everything up until you screw it in. It looks as pictured and keeps the rain off my door, so pretty ok for now. We'll see how they hold up in winter.

Best economic awning.
Yeah it’s cheap but it gets the job done. I actually had a few broken brackets the seller was happy to replace. I was able to add one more cut down section onto the kit.

Piece of JUNK
Where do I start? This is a piece of flimsy corrugated plastic, flimsier than a yard sign, to give a comparison. That piece of plastic bends into two metal pieces, which then barely -barely!, fit into a plastic frame, with zero support for the multiple pieces and no way to use the longer screw attached to secure it. The tiny self-tightening screws do NOT provide nearly enough strength. Then, if you somehow manage to screw the three panels together, you’ve got yourself a super-light, flimsy as heck piece of 110 inch-long flailing plastic, which then you are somehow supposed to lift and attach above the windows/doors. Absolutely no way, absolutely would not last even if you managed to keep it together and attach it. Do not buy, or return before you open the package. Absolutely not worth the price, however inexpensive it may appear. It is cheap for a reason.

Freeze worthy? Maybe, maybe not.
Maybe four? Depends on what happens when the water inside the corrugated panel freezes? Water gets in and doesn't come out so a freeze will do what? Stay tuned, I'll report back in a year. For those that haven't installed yours yet here's a tip: seal the ends with some clear caulking, wipe down and let it dry (optional) then assemble. Wish I knew beforehand. They are pretty sturdy but mounting hardware is the wrong type for regular clapboard siding. Get something appropriate beforehand or you'll be patching holes you made. Effective at reducing sunlight. Looks good and lightweight which makes it easier to install and stay put. Have a second person available to help assemble and install.

A lot sturdier than it looks
First: the product. Exactly as described and pictured. Super easy to assemble. The panels seem kinda flimsy at first, but after everything is assembled it’s sturdy. Second: installation. A nightmare. Truly awful. I can’t honestly blame the nightmare installation on the product. I’m assuming any other awning would be this bad. Some advice: don’t count on the installation hardware that comes with the awning. It was complicated and didn’t come with any instructions. I had to look it up on YouTube. The other problem is the awning’s arches. The little decorations inside the support arches which I’m assuming are structurally important make it hard to attach the awning to the wall. A drill, hammer, screwdriver…none of it will fit. The top hole is covered by one of those decorations on the arch, so only a tool with small clearance will work. For example, you can use a simple hand wrench because it turns flat, parallel to the wall. But you can’t use a screwdriver because the handle comes away from the hole and turns perpendicular to the wall. So before you start with this project I highly recommend you make a plan about what hardware to use to attach it to your building. Keep in mind that you will not have any tools clearance for those top holes. Good luck! On the plus side, I put this awning through a ton of abuse trying to get it up and it is definitely more sturdy than it looks. I even had to skip one of the holes, so the whole thing sags. But we’ve had some big storms and it doesn’t budge even with the uneven way it hangs. The panels are a bit hollow so it makes some noise when it rains. If that is a concern for you then be aware. It is louder than the sound rain makes on my car roof when I’m inside the car but not tin roof loud. I’d say it’s more like rain on a plastic umbrella.

Perfect.
Put this up over the heat pump to keep the snow off and it works. I struggled to find something that isn't too wide, this is a little wider than the heat pump and does the job perfectly.

Seems stronger now that its installed
after assembling this product it seemed weak and flimsy, now that its mounted, its definitely stable, more ridgid, decent!..looks good.. only time will tell how it handles wind, small snow load considering it tucked beside my house under soffit overhang..
