Turns out I have had several uses for the tool and I am very satisfied with this. The construction is VERY sturdy; the tool is quite heavy and solidly built. Like all my Makita LXT, this tool confirms this is the right product for a "Prosumer" DIY enthusiast like me. I would assume this device will be quite well suited for a professional builder too. What I like- Strong, sturdy construction- Part of a line of tools that use the same battery- VERY powerful, never had any problems even with deep cuts- Can make precise adjustments to cutting depthWhat I dislike- The place where shavings are ejected is an oval shape; you cant connect a vacuum to extract the dust/shavings- The little V that runs along the bottom (for planing corners) is not very deep. It is quite easy to slip off a 45º angle ## Frequently Bought Together - Makita DKP180Z 18V Li-Ion LXT Planer - Batteries And Charger Not Included - Makita 122793-0 Dust Bag - Makita D-07945 Planer Blades 82 Mini --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/278409394-makita-cordless-planer-18-v-li-ion-dkp180z](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/278409394-makita-cordless-planer-18-v-li-ion-dkp180z) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
