Worked well
Just what I needed to hook my laptop to the Ethernet. Sometimes you need a direct connection instead of WiFi. Easy to use. Works great.

Works very well and carry one with me for tough spots!
These work very well with laptops and computers. Comes in handy with good speeds especially when your NIC goes bad, or if your Laptop has an old, slower, “wireless standard,” or if you have poor a WIFI signal.

An odd application with the iPad...but it works!
I have spotty wireless internet at my house and prefer wired internet were possible. This was not a problem for most of my devices that have a Ethernet port built in, but in the case of the iPad, that becomes a problem. After doing many hours of research trying to figure out what I was going to need in order to get wired internet on my iPad I discovered it really was not as complicated as I made it out to be. All you need are three things, this adapter, the iPad adapter with lighting connector in and USB in, and a power brick with lightning cable to connect into the Apple adapter. I used both a 10w and 12w Apple power brick and both work fine. A 5w adapter most likely will not provide enough power to charge the iPad and use the adapter at the same time but was untested by myself. Once all of this is connected, there might be a window that appears in the middle of the screen that tells you that the Apple adapter is updating. After that is done, go to settings on the iPad and a brand new setting will appear where you can adjust the wired networking settings for the iPad just like you would for the wireless networking. Great device no issues so far and recommend for people with a problem similar to mine.

Seems to work.
Summary: As best as I can tell, this USB Ethernet adapter works fine. I would recommend using the latest driver from Realtek's website. My original review and subsequent update are below. So, I plugged this 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet adapter in and verified that it had negotiated 2.5 GbE uplink with my 10 GbE TrendNet switch. Then initiated a 8 GB file transfer of a single zip file over the network. The result? 35-45 MB/s.....what? For the record, that's way worse than Gigabit Ethernet which can do about 110 MB/s. As first I thought that maybe the USB 3.0 port on my test computer was broken. So I tried with another computer. Same result. Didn't matter what 3.x USB port and didn't matter if I was connecting to my 10 GbE Trendnet switch or my 1 GbE Cisco switch. My network file server is connected via a 10 GbE uplink and is running solid state storage. It will happily transfer large files at 112-113 MB/s over Gigabit Ethernet and 1 GB/s over 10 GbE. So clearly it isn't the bottleneck. I will ask Amazon to send me a new one, hopefully it works better. Update: So the replacement adapter arrived and I had some time to do some more testing last night. Started fresh and had Windows delete all existing drivers and then installed the latest ones from Realtek's website. The 40-45 MB/s speed problem went away and instead I started getting 8-12 MB/s when trying to download a file from my file server. Had a WTF!!! moment and plugged in the original adapter in and it behaved the same. 8-12 MB/s download. Next, I tried uploading a file to the file server and it blazed away at a solid 270-280 MB/s. Tried downloading from the file server...and 8-12 MB/s again. Same behavior in both adapters. The topology looks like this Test Computer <--2.5 GbE link--> Trendnet TEG-7080ES switch <--10 GbE link--> FreeNAS File Server So evidently there is a setting, or flow control problem, or something else that is wrong. At any rate it's beyond me at the moment. I verified that the CableCreation 2.5GbE USB Adapters aren't at fault by configuring the Aquantia AQN-107 10GbE chip built into my motherboard to link at 2.5 Gbps and the same issue happened. Full speed upload and 20-22 MB/s download to/from the file server. Tried at 5 Gbps and the same thing too. Interestingly this issue does not happen at Gigabit Ethernet speeds. It's a solid 112 MB/s up and down all day long. PC <--1 GbE link--> TEG-7080ES switch <--10 GbE link--> File Server Good PC <--2.5 GbE link--> TEG-7080ES switch <--10 GbE link--> File Server Slowest PC <--5.0 GbE link--> TEG-7080ES switch <--10 GbE link--> File Server Slower PC <--10 GbE link--> TEG-7080ES switch <--10 GbE link--> File Server SPEEED TLDR: Maybe I did have a driver issue before. However, I have been unable to re-create my original 45 MB/s problem. As best I can tell, the USB adapters actually work fine. More importantly, I discovered that my switch doesn't play nice with mixed multi-gigabit signals even though it's clearly advertised as NBASE-T compatible.

The BEST $10 I've spent ALL YEAR!
I just upgraded to Cox Gigablast 1 GB Internet from 100Mbps on a deal for $64.99 for 24 months! Couldn't pass that up! Since it was essentially getting 10x the speed for the same price. Though, like most people you don't get what you pay for. My 100 Mbps service usually only yielded an average of 72Mbps (When they advertise or sell you the service it is usually worded "up to 100Mbps", "up to 1 GBps", etc. I just upgraded to a new laptop with 1GBe Ethernet card, Netgear's "World's Fastest" Modem "CM1000" and World Fastest Router "R700 Nighthawk". "Home Improvement's Tim Allen would be proud! ahh ahh ahhh! I bought into the whole Amazon Alexa Universe with Echo Dot in every room, 2x Roku Smart TVs a bunch of other 5Ghz tech like security cameras, etc. Everything now at the speed of light...except for two of my older laptops and tablets that had the older 10/100 Ethernet/WiFi cards. Which were now getting only 45-72Mbps... Poor Poor Laptops.... which had fast processors, 32 GB of RAM, all 1-2TB SSD drives that make any computer 100% faster or more when replacing the old mechanical HDD, but still no way to fully benefit from the full increased speed of my 1GB connection!? For weeks I looked into replacing the ethernet cards/chips on these devices but since most are hardwired into the devices, unlike desktops where you remove the case cover, pull out the old card and pop in a new one, most laptops don't offer this plug and play capability, making it an expensive proposition that may cause more complications if the new ethernet/wifi card is not fully compatible with the device's motherboard. I was looking at $hundreds more to do this until a techie buddy of mine suggested CableCreation's USB 3.0 adapter, stating that just like the ethernet card, it still requires throughput on the motherboard and he used them on computers where the RJ45 plug port was broke as an inexpensive and much much faster solution alternative to the more expensive removing and replacement of the old ethernet/wifi card. I logged onto my most recent's BFF Jeff Bezos website Amazon.com where if I want something he and his teams find it, ship and have it in my hot little hands in as little as a few hours. The order said 2 days, I said Son of a ... well you know! But Psych!...it showed up the next day...a day earlier! Proof that Jeff & Company loves us... or at least me! ;) :P I ripped open the little bubble wrap package plugged it into one of my older laptops all running Windows 10, plugged the ethernet Cat6 cable into the CableCreation ethernet adapter and the CableCreation ethernet adapter into one of the 3.0 USB slots went to my network noticed it automatically recognized and configured the new Ethernet 2 port and disconnected the old ethernet connection. Nothing for me to do except "Fire it up!" Which I opened my browser and went out onto Fast.com and to my surprise, my old decrepit computer was once again playing with the big boys on the internet! Taking the upgraded 1GB internet service wher I had faster than before speeds of 90Mbps over the old 100Mbps service of I would only get 45-72 Mbps to now 500+Mbps on this laptop! At this point I got all tingly and though I wasn't getting the 600-860Mbps speeds the newer machines with 1GB+ capabilities my poor old laptops were now faster than I ever thought possible! Making this $10.99 + tax with my Prime Member Free Shipping the best $10...$10.99 + tax purchase of 2019! Thanks CableCreations! Thanks Amazon!... (in a lower voice) Thanks Jeff!! :D Attached photos are the real deal! THE END!.... Actually... THE BEGINNING!

Comme ma Box-TV ne possède pas de prise RJ45 pour me connecter au réseau, c'est le seul moyen que j'ai trouvé et cela fonctionne parfaitement . La dépense est minime et l'encombrement dérisoire.
