I was worried at first reading some of the reviews but I went ahead and bought the ginger because I don't want to have aspartame. The ginger is crisp and not slimy. The taste is fresh, not as strong as others and not quite as sweet. But thats perfectly ok. We enjoyed it very much with our sushi 🍣 last night. Matter of fact my 4 year old requested more for breakfast today. This will be my new go to .. natural and no added bad stuff.

I really like the taste and that it doesn't have aspartame or red food coloring in it. It's not too sweet & has a tangy flavor & it is a little crisp too. I just wish it cost less so I could eat it more than once or twice a week. So I have to make it last until I can get it again. I have too many other necessities & bills to meet each month so this jar of ginger is a treat for me & that's why I can't buy it every month.

I received the package and is to expire in 2 weeks. Unless you are a restaurant you could not eat the jar that fast. Waste of money because the others I buy are 3 YEAR shelf life. I opened it anyways and tasted horrible like chemicals and left taste in mouth. I would not trust seller due to perishable PICKLED items should not be send out to expire with in a few days. Other sellers do not do this. And they won’t let you return it opened or not.

Mild taste, no artificial sweetner and no red dye. What more could you ask for?

It tastes fine, but is a little coarse. I ordered it because it was the only one I could find without aspartame. But caveat emptor: IT IS IMPORTED FROM CHINA. Since I had it and it was pricey, I decided to try it. I won't buy again. I did not see in the description that it came from China, or I would not have bought it. I buy lots of things from China, but NOT food!

Good flavor, albeit a little sweet for my taste.
