Unfortunately, the product did not work correctly, so I returned it. The thermometer never registered greater than 94 degrees Fahrenheit.

Being a mom (and a wife of a husband who hates doctors) this thermometer is NECESSARY to stay on top of things in my home. I love the durable quality it gives. The numbers are big enough that you don't have to struggle trying to read the numbers while fighting with a sick child. I love how it gives you three options to get the temperature. I noticed it reads in Celsius and not Fahrenheit. The instructions gives you a range of normal and fever in both celsius and fahrenheit, so no need to panic.

When my wife and I found out we were pregnant, one thing everyone said we needed was thermometers. Yes, plural. A few at home, one in each car, one in each diaper bag, and maybe one in your back pocket, just in case. So we figured we would get a head start and start ordering some now. This was one that we chose, mostly for the very large numbers to make it easier for our indentured babysitters (the grandparents) to read.Packaging: The packaging is pretty straightforward. It is a box that has a picture of the thermometer and points out some of the features. The thermometer itself is in a plastic carrier and the manual is underneath. Although let’s be honest. It’s a one button digital thermometer. If you can’t figure this out on your own, no instruction manual is going to be able to help you.First Impressions: This feels like a well-made item. There are no imperfections visible and it turns on almost instantly. The clear plastic sleeve is a nice little holder for it and helps keep the tip clean. The screen is large with large numbers and good contrast which makes it real easy to read.Actual Testing: I tested this thermometer on myself and compared the results with my instant high-accuracy thermometer usually used for cooking. Results took about 10 to 15 seconds to come in and the thermometer beeps when it is done. After 10 tests the average difference between this thermometer and my pricier high-accuracy thermometer was ±0.3 degrees F. So the accuracy is close enough for home use in my opinion. The flex tip makes it easy to read even while in use. Another nice thing is the fact that it is waterproof (resistant?). This makes it very easy to clean off after use. You don’t have to worry about the guts getting wet and breaking.If you are looking for a low cost thermometer that you can just keep in a bag or somewhere and just works simply, this is a great choice for you.Please note that this product was offered to me at a discount in exchange for a complete and honest review. This is my first digital thermometer, so I have nothing to compare with and I am really satisfied with its functions. First of all, I like that there are both celcius and farenheit. Besides, I like that it is suitable for all methods of measurement: oral, rectal and axillary (which was not mentioned in the description, but is said in the instruction - to me it’s the most habitual).There is a protective plastic cover.The instruction to this thermometer is very detailed and helpful. It describes most accurate methods of measuring temperature, how to place it in mouth in case of oral measuring and so on.It really takes seconds to measure temperature (at least in case of normal temperature).It has a nice and useful feature: memory displays for the last temperature taken.The screen is big, with big digits, so that people with bad eyesight can easily be seen.Also there is a feature of color coded screens, depending on the temperature, for example, if the temperature is 37.6-43.9 C (99.7-111 F) the screen will turn red. Luckily I didn’t have an opportunity to test this feature yet))).I got this item at a great discount.

When I purchased this it was advertised as having a beep as well as different colors to indicate normal, low and high fever. It does not have any of these features. I hope that the reading is correct, I used it for first time today.

I use this for my cat that gets constant upper respiratory infections. I couldn't be happier with how fast it works. If you have ever had to take a rectal temp on a cat this is the thermometer to get.

Never again will I purchase a product whose reviews are virtually all from people who received a free or discounted item. I ordered this thermometer instead of a basic digital thermometer, which I could have bought for half the price because of the features, most of which don't work. I have a neurological disorder which can cause blurry vision, so I loved the idea of the following features: large backlit display (worked), would easily convert from C to F (didn't work, and I followed the directions to the letter and tried multiple times), turns green when body temp is normal and red when a fever is present (didn't work; the color never changed from the original turned-on gray color).Because I am disabled and don't drive, and I also do not own a computer printer, it is impossible for me to return this item. After filling out all of the information to return, at the very end, it said I had to print a UPS, USPS, or FedEx label.
