Game play is same, just the packaging.

What's the difference between a Pente board and a Go board?

None really. The ‘board’ contained in this game is a roll-able mat with 1” squares emblazoned upon it. A Go board is solid wood with 1” squares on it. They would be interchangeable as near i can tell.

Great game. Loved the fact that the matt got upgraded from the original (it is now rubber and rolls up instead of the old cardboard one). It's a game that can challange people of any age. Great for strategy development in kids without having to learn tooany rules or moves like in chess. Fun to play with 2 people or with 3/4.
