LiftMaster 8365-267 Premium Series 1/2 HP AC Chain Drive Garage Door Opener, Chain/Rails Sold Separately

It works very well. I installed all the components just fine but had issues with programming it. There was a "trick" regarding positioning the chain when starting to cycle and program it. The instructions could have been better in that regard. I hired a garage door technician to straighten that out and it has been great since.

This Liftmaster Garage Door Opener replaced our old double garage door opener that died. It was easy for our handyman to install and has worked effortlessly so far. It also has a Wifi connection that can be used for closing and opening the door from afar. Excellent quality and value for the price paid.

Replaced my 25 y/o unit with this one. Easy swap, bolts lined up and took 1hr. So far it works flawlessly

Lift master did us a great service by keeping their design consistent with older models. I fixed our old one a few times but it’s probably 25+ years old so I needed to replace it. Switching manufacturers meant changing the overhead bar and maybe the chain too. This model was a perfect fit so all I had to do was replace this one part. We’ve had it a few months and it works great. And connects to our Wi-Fi for newer features with MyQ.

So far this unit works much better that the unit I replaced (2265 Liftmaster) , which was about 15 years old. The fact that it uses three RF frequencies vice the one in the 2265 seems to result in much better performance. I had a lot of trouble with the 2265 unit over the years, especially with the receiver logic unit, which I had to replace three times. Even with that, the range of the unit was always marginal. The reason I give this unit 4 stars vice 5 is that the Liftmaster Tech support is unsatisfactory. When I tried to get some help with the 2265 unit, all they did was read the troubleshooting page on their web site to me, which I was viewing on line a the same time. Very poor. Installation of the new unit was straightforward , but it would have been nice to have some installation instructions. I was able to use all the old hardware and wiring from my old unit.

Had a new door installed and purchased this unit to replace a 23 year old pro unit that still worked. Chose chain drive because I didn't want to buy a new track. It was a easy swap out and install. Actually had my garage door install guy do it as he was already working on the system.So far, so good. The WiFi feature works great, the motor runs great so far, the dual lighting is a great addition. Regardless of new or replace (if it will fit) I would go with this model or even a higher model brand. The Premium series is built way better than the Chamberlain and others in the big box stores.This is the second time I have purchased something from 365 and they have been excellent both times.
