Some are made specifically for certain types of hair. I used to purchase at Sally Beauty supply and the store always recommended the correct formula for my hair. Since Sally Beauty supply no longer carries the product in store, I purchase through Amazon, so its been hit and miss. This most recent purchase has not been the best for my hair type. I will try another formula of the Roux and this time I will pay special attention to the fact that "Fermodyl" is or is not listed for the product title. I personally think it does make a difference for me in some way. The Fermodyl products were always a success for me. This most recent purchase smells nice but the results were less than what I expected from it. I found it did not leave my hair in great shape but rather seemed to make it even more brittle.
