Mmm...
I used this when making sticky ribs and my sauce came out simply delicious! Definitely hard to get the lid off (I like the other reviewer's suggestion of the microwave). It's very thick - I ended up using two spoons, one to scoop and one to scrape it off the other spoon. Nice amount of product - good for many dishes!

Quality product
This product is quality. The container is resilient and damage resistant. The maltose itself is a glassy liquid, I find a firm thrust with butter knife can pull some out. May requiring warming the lid to remove if the sides get any of the maltose on it.

Leaked in shipment
They came very sticky and stuck to other things in the box, seal seems to be intact, when opening. Makes great Char siu pork or chicken, giving that sweetness and sheen to the meat.

NOT MALTOSE
This isn't maltose, this is molasses. I don't think there's any actual maltose in this product. The ingredients say "rice, water, and malt." I have no idea why the title of this product says maltose!

Not true maltose sugar.
Description states powder but it is paste. Nearly impossible to find pure maltose monohydrate. This is not it.

Very traditional product recommended
It recalled my childhood time, very traditional pure maltose, you can play it with two sticks to make it dry sweet candy, tasting so great!
