Q: Can you iron or sew patches onto the bag?

Just assuming from my perspective. Sewing patches on should be ok. Ironing on patches seems a bit more complicated because the bag has a water resistant coating on it. I've never ironed anything on bags before so if you have, then you should know more about the process than me. I'd guess the ironing would ruin the coating but if you want to try and see, you're forewarned.

Q: Is the shoe compartment big enough for a size 13 basketball shoes

13 inches for shoes is pushing it to the limit for that compartment. FYI..that compartment goes into the main compartment of the bag so if the shoes don't fit into that specific compartment, then placing them into the main one will work instead. Same space will be occupied. Just different compartments. If you don't want the shoes to touch anything in the same, main compartment, just place them in a soft bag. Small nuisance with that.

Q: Will this be good for boxing equipments?

Yep! Boxing gloves, wraps, head protection, mouth guard, etc. will fit just fine

Q: How much does it weigh?

I don't know how much the backpack itself weighs but I am 5 feet tall and stuffed it with 2 pairs of shoes, a laptop, electronic accessories, and clothes as a carry on and I managed to trek around Delhi airport with it. That is a huge airport and I had to walk very far to make a connecting flights. The bag is not what is heavy, it is what one decides to pack.

Good backpack

As per described and the material is great. Capacity perfect. Only downside, backpack straps can't be secured properly in the pocket as the zip won't close due the design. Overall, very good.
