An Heir Comes to Rise

Liked the book overall! Got a little bit slow sometimes but it was worth it in the end! Ordered the 2nd direct when I finished this one!

4.5 StarsNot gonna lie, this starts so, so slow! Slowest of slow paced I ever read as we followed Faythe throughout her every day life and literally nothing happened except for a few things that piqued my interest and kept me going. After page 250 or so the book picked up in space and we had stuff happening that had me reeling, screaming, gasping, crying 😭SPOILERThe first love interest got me again and I’m still mad that they kind of ended it on mutual grounds. 😭 No!!! Although I already got spoilered through book 4’s blurb, my heart is not in the right place yet to say that Nik will find his happiness as well.

This was a great debut novel!I really enjoyed it, the writing was descriptive and the characters where well fleshed out. The concept of Nightwalkers is a great one, and I’m always a sucker for stories with the Fae!On to book two 😄💖

I was worried to start this series. I dread unfinished series. Throne of Glass was my last major book hangover and I fear for my next. But at least all the books were out for that series 😅I started book 1 and finished it in less than 2 days. So pumped to start book 2! The characters are engaging, with enough flaws that they don't annoy you with their perfect heroism.I 4/5 recommend this book! 👌
