Very easy to use, accurate temperature control, and a great value
I bought this not for cosmetic wax, but to melt hide glue for use in woodworking projects; specifically, for veneering surfaces. The temperature range seemed ideal - hide glue works best around 145-150 degrees F - and the description and reviews seemed favorable. The unit was reasonably well packed and apparently unopened (not a returned item), but there was inexplicably a small dent in the inner pot. This wouldn't affect the functionality at all, so I ignored it, but it was curious... The size was perfect for my application, and the removable inner pot meant that it would be easy to clean. The inner pot is aluminum, but it appears to have a hard anodizing or coating of some sort that makes it nearly non-stick in nature. I'm using it to melt glue, and the hardened glue just slides off without any need for scrubbing. The build quality of the unit seemed very good for the price. Obviously this isn't a laboratory device; it fits solidly in the lower consumer-grade segment. I probably wouldn't get this for a full-time professional gig (or I'd have a spare ready on the shelf), but for hobby purposes it's more than fine. The ergonomic design is good, it feels solid enough and has no tendency to slide or tilt during use, and in general seems like a well-designed product. I haven't taken it apart to check out the internals. Operation couldn't be easier: just plug it in and set the knob to the desired temperature. After a couple of seconds, it reverts to showing the current temperature rather than the setpoint; moving the knob displays the setpoint again while changing it. There's also an LED that glows red while the pot is seeking to the new temperature setpoint, then green when it has achieved the final temperature. This happens quite quickly - within a couple of minutes. As others have noted, this is a bit deceptive, because the outer aluminum pot - not the inner one in which the glue/wax is placed - is not well coupled thermally to the inner pot. This means that although the heating area has reached setpoint, it may be quite some time before the actual contents reach this temperature. In fact, if the lid isn't in place, the substance being heated may never reach the setpoint. This is because of the poor thermal coupling between the outer heating vessel and the inner pot containing the product to be warmed. It turns out that there's an easy way to make this *much* better - just put a small amount - only about 1/8" of water in the outer pot. This is blatantly against the instructions, but I examined the unit carefully, and the outer pot is completely water tight, so there's no danger of water spilling into the guts unless the whole unit is up-ended. This small layer of water provides much better thermal coupling into the inner pot, and it then warms much more quickly and maintains temperature far better. I can now add more glue to an already melted pot, and it will bring the new product up to temperature in just a couple of minutes. So, with the exception of what amounts in my mind to a design flaw of inadequate thermal coupling to the inner wax pot, this product does everything it's intended to, is very easy to use and clean, and seems well-constructed. For less than 25 bucks, it seems like a great deal to me.

No regrets!
Works great and I have absolutely zero complaints. It melts the wax fairly quickly and is easy to work.

Using this Wax Warmer for guitar repair
I choose to keep my manly fur in place, however I am enjoying the Wax Warmer, in another way. Currently, the Wax Warmer is a "warming pot", used to prepare and warm Hot Hide Glue, for guitar and other instrument repair. Seems to function perfectly, warms the water bath which then transfers and heats the hide glue perfectly. If I ever decide to tear away a layer of fur, I'll be prepared.

Quality wax warmer!
I can’t believe it took me so long to buy a wax warmer. This one is perfect for what I need it for! It heats up quickly and the temperature dial/screen makes it so easy to determine the desired temp. For $20, it was a great purchase!

Temperature Dial Is Must Have
When they tell you to buy one where you control and see temperature, yes dooo it especially if you’re a beginner self waxer! I haven’t had chance to wax anything besides my face. I was able to change it to right temp to get wax right texture and successfully wax myself. Highly recommend this product.

I've Used a Few Different Wax Warmers
This one is my favorite out of the 4 I have used. The digital reading allows you to set the temperature accurately to what temperature works for you.174-176 is my preferred heat range. I like this one so much because it heats the wax evenly and once you figure out the temp setting you like, the wax is consistent on removing hair. I noticed with other wax warmers, the wax is inconsistent with removing hair. The same temp sometimes will, sometimes won't. This does every time. PRO TIP and low key warning: If you get wax on the warmer, oil (I use baby oil) will remove the wax easily. Warm or cold. BUT DO NOT use baby oil on the transparent lid. It will frost it over and make it look weird. Does not affect the rest of the item when oil is used on it.

Well it works
First time using this warmer I previously just use the microwave cup! So is a step up! Here is my take: i plug it in safe spot toss in beads, max out the temp then brought down to 135 my preferred temp for my face, but i had to gradually go up because since the A/C runs cold inside always! (SouthFlorida) it did not stay warm.. so at 205 it work best i put up 3 sections the put the cover on while i was pulling off the wax from my face!! And so on, that worked just fine! Also the initial warm time was 16minutes for about 2oz of beads!! Is way better that the microwave cup thing and i don't have to go back and fwd to the kitchen.. so overall is a fine lil thing for what it costs, now i be back in between a year to update this notes to see how far the lil thing will go on!! Am needed to do my face at least once a week sometimes i skip a week!! And i look like a lion 🦁 But it depends on my hormones! (PCOS) 🤦♀️ anywho i hope this helps anyone!!

Great for at home waxing!
This wax warmer works amazing for my at home waxing use. I’m very happy with this product. The wax heated up within 30 min and stayed consistently warm for my entire waxing session. I have used it for both hard and soft wax. The temperature reading shows you how hot the warmer is which is a really great feature to prevent the risk of burning your skin and keeping the wax at a consistent temperature. I recommend to anyone, 5 stars!!
