Understand history to have a better control of your future
The perspective and approach used in the book opened my eyes to the reality of things and the importance of learning from history. The world is evolving but the patterns are the same and can be used to study different countries.

This is how the world and economics work.
This is an amazing book. I have about 100 pages remaining to complete it but so far Dalio has taken me back to 500yrs ago, identifying trends in a well triangulated insights. As an economics student this book is an anchor, and as a potential history and philosophy student this book is "the pudding". It's taste is underneath.

Insightful and comprehensive book on its topic.
Worth reading for its many insights. The book however should be more concise.
