## Description

Versatile reporterWhen telling the story matters, capture the moment decisively with the ZEISS Milvus 2/35. The 35mm focal length makes this lens a superb choice for photojournalism as the moderate wide-angle will encompass the scene, preserving the moment in its full natural brilliance and crisp detail – ensuring you don't miss anything. The compact design and fast, precise focussing makes it ideal for a versatile reporter, and the fast aperture lets you work even in poor light. Simply put, the ZEISS Milvus 2/35 is always ready for those unexpected moments.ZEISS Milvus prime lenses are built specifically with the modern high-resolution multi-function DSLR in mind. Outstanding micro contrast, high suppression of flares and ghosting - you will be impressed with the consistently brilliant images you capture with these lenses. With its weather-sealed barrels and lens mounts, ZEISS Milvus lenses can be used in a wide range of conditions. The variety of focal lengths will suit the photographer or moviemaker who wants both precise control and stunning results.

Review: Typical high quality Zeiss - It’s constructed of metal including the lens hood. The fit and finish of everything is very well done. It mounts perfectly on any of my Nikon cameras. Including my Z8 through the FTZ adapter. It’s electronics connect and offer everything a Nikon AF lens would except autofocus. In the Z8 this is no big deal if you use “focus peaking.” In my opinion the results obtained are perfect. Very sharp all over. I think better than most of my Nikon glass.
Review: Splendid 35 – best I've owned for any system - Splendid 35 – best I've owned for any system. Far better constructed than any 35 currently or previously made for Nikon F mount, the weather sealing is very helpful, lens hood works like a dream, and it makes far more characterful images than any of Nikon's own lenses or the well-regarded Sigma 35 f1.4 Art. Also likely a better long-term investment than the Sigma if you can deal with manual focus and f2 speed.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Class Leading
*by T***H on 9 April 2016*

If you can justify the cost, and are okay with manual focus, the image quality on this lens is world class. I have experience using the latest and highest quality medium format (Mamiya + Hasselblad) gear along with the highest resolution digital backs, and this lens produces results similar to that system. I'm using this along with a Nikon D800, and the result is stunning.
