Review: Typical high quality Zeiss - It’s constructed of metal including the lens hood. The fit and finish of everything is very well done. It mounts perfectly on any of my Nikon cameras. Including my Z8 through the FTZ adapter. It’s electronics connect and offer everything a Nikon AF lens would except autofocus. In the Z8 this is no big deal if you use “focus peaking.” In my opinion the results obtained are perfect. Very sharp all over. I think better than most of my Nikon glass. Review: Splendid 35 – best I've owned for any system - Splendid 35 – best I've owned for any system. Far better constructed than any 35 currently or previously made for Nikon F mount, the weather sealing is very helpful, lens hood works like a dream, and it makes far more characterful images than any of Nikon's own lenses or the well-regarded Sigma 35 f1.4 Art. Also likely a better long-term investment than the Sigma if you can deal with manual focus and f2 speed.
