Like a hook, metal ring, or pull tab at the end to keep the tongs shut?** A: Yes. They have a square metal pull tab that will lock the tongs shut. Keep in mind that the length of the metal tab is considered in the overall length of the tong. The tongs are actually 16-inches in length when the pull tab is not considered. **Q: what is the grip made of? Is it silicone? Can it melt as our older tools did when too close to heat?** A: It is made of hard plastic and doesn't melt. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for grilling *by R***. on May 11, 2026* I purchased this set of grilling utensils and have been using them regularly whenever I cook outdoors, and overall I’m very happy with them. Basically the spatula is free when compared to prices of just tongs. Heavy duty and high quality. Quite large (check the sizes to make sure you want it this big) which is great for reaching across the grill. ## Frequently Bought Together - OXO Good Grips Grilling Tools, Tongs and Turner Set, Black - GRILLART Grill Brush and Scraper Bristle Free - Safe BBQ Brush for Grill -Stainless Grill Grate Cleaner - Safe Grill Accessories for Porcelain/Weber Gas/Charcoal Grill - Gifts for Grill Wizard/Men/Dad - GRILLART Grill Brush and Scraper BBQ Brush for Grill, Safe 18" Stainless Steel Woven Wire 3 in 1 Bristles Grill Cleaning Brush, BR-4516 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/276979565-outdoor-grilling-turner-and-tongs-set](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/276979565-outdoor-grilling-turner-and-tongs-set) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-20*
