Barbie Fashionistas Doll - Floral Flair

I have started collecting a few of the new body styles for my granddaughter to enjoy at the appropriate age. I'm doing it now because Mattel isn't known for continuing their series for very long and I want to be sure that she has access to these great body styles.Her mommy and auntie are both over 6 feet tall, so in all likelihood, she will be tall as well. The new tall Barbie is a wonderful representation of a tall girl.Flora Flair Barbie is golden blonde with two tones of blonde hair. It is really well integrated and are very realistic in color, so the two tone is not jarring visually. The face mold is close mouth and is somewhat unfamiliar to me. It may be that Mattel has given these new body style Barbies their own molds so that they could be proportionate to their body type.The doll is proportioned tall and slim. She is as tall as the Ken dolls and is about half a head taller than a regular Barbie. As mentioned earlier, her hair is golden blonde with a braid on the left hand side, eyes are blue and lips are pink. There is no stiffening product on the hair. The skin tone is tan with no nail polish. She is wearing a short black dress of the front of which is a non-stretch polyester with pink and purple flower print. The back and the hip inserts of the dress are a stretchy darker black material which has slightly ruffled hemline. The dress closes with a hook and loop closure at the back. Her shoes are a stiletto blue heel that matches her blue cuff bracelet.Her legs are straight and do not bend except at the hip. They seem to be hollow versus the solid vinyl of older years. Her legs are slim, her feet are made for high heels and are not flat as are other Tall Fashionistas. I've noticed that the tall and the curvy Barbie's shoes can interchange fairly well with each other but not with a standard flatfoot Barbie. Hips and body are on the slim side. Her left arm is bent and her right arm is straight. The fingers are mostly separated with only the third and fourth fingers fused together on both hands.I hope that Mattel offers separate clothing for these dolls as they are all different sizes, including different size feet. I've seen that they are now offering dolls with a couple of different outfits but it would be good if they offered just clothing packs as well.

Nice doll with Lea/Kayla mold. Not the typical foot so will need larger shoes. Found that skipper flat shoes work. Good quality hair, stiff legs and arms but movable. Doll can sit. Priced lower than retail competitors. God Bless.

I bought her for the outfit, which at $7.94 isn't a bad deal for Mattel doll clothes. Then I noticed she's a pretty doll, too, if not fully articulated :(

I like that this new Barbie is more proportional to a person. The quality is good. I'm discouraged that the elbow and knee joints don't move. It would also be nice if more of the Barbies had flat feet to mimic real people and the type of shoes they wear.

Not sure what happened to ours, since other reviews seem positive, but this Barbie was horrible! My daughter ordered her with her Christmas money, and she arrived with the box ripped open on one side and the plastic cracked. The doll was intact in the box (had not been tampered with) but her hair was greasy and straight and frizzy and very uneven. It's also much blonder than in the photo, almost yellow. My little girl burst into tears. The dress was very ill-fitting and looked like it had been made for a much larger doll. I'm a huge Barbie fan and collector, but the quality on this one was better suited to off-brand Dollar Store dolls.

Haven't taken her out of the box yet, but it appears her left arm does not bend, as I can't see an elbow joint through the flimsy plastic cover. Flexibility of the doll was not mentioned in the description of the sale, but I bought them for gifts and not as a collector. Had I been a collector, I would have asked a lot more questions. I would say any taller girl in the "tweener" age wold love this! Super-smooth transaction and fast shipping. Highly recommend seller. Thanks! A+

I absolutely love the new Barbie body types. I have bought each new style for my daughters and they love it. Very progressive and promotes body positivity. Good job.

My 6 year old daughter was so excited to get this doll as a Christmas gift. A few days later we discovered that she was missing hair! I should have taken a closer look when she first opened it but I didn't see anything wrong until I myself brushed barbie's hair (her hair was styled in a way where it hid the bald spot). She also has this sticky residue all over hair. My daughter doesnt even want to play with it anymore

I love the doll she has such a beautiful face and a lovely outfit. The shipping was very fast compared to most merchandise that I have purchased.

Die Zweite Talle-Barbie ist auch groß und schlank. Die Serie der Barbie ist zur Zeit die grösste Figur. Sie trägt ein kurzes Sommerkleid in schwarz-rot-rosa. Ihr Gesicht ist von der Kayla-Barbie.
