Constructed from heavy-duty steel with reinforced design, it offers unmatched durability and the largest capacity in its class, compatible with all charcoal types and fire starters. Perfect for backyard BBQs, tailgates, and serious grilling enthusiasts seeking faster, safer, and more consistent heat. ## Description Most charcoal chimneys haven’t changed in decades. They’re slow, undersized, and rely only on passive airflow to ignite charcoal. The BBQ Dragon Chimney of Insanity changes that completely. At the center of the design is BBQ Dragon’s patented airflow elbow — a 90-degree side port that allows oxygen to be forced directly into the charcoal chamber. Attach a BBQ Dragon fan, use a hair dryer, leaf blower, shop fan, or even blow into the port yourself to create intense combustion that ignites charcoal dramatically faster than standard chimney starters. When paired with a BBQ Dragon fan, the Chimney of Insanity can produce charcoal ready for cooking in about 3 minutes. The result is hotter ignition, less waiting, and more time cooking over real charcoal fire. And then there’s the size. The Chimney of Insanity XL is the largest charcoal chimney available — built for serious charcoal cooks who were tired of refilling smaller chimneys over and over again. Whether you’re cooking on a Weber kettle, ceramic grill, offset smoker, Santa Maria grill, barrel cooker, or large charcoal setup, the XL delivers massive fuel capacity in a single load. The chimney works with: Charcoal briquettes Hardwood lump charcoal Charcoal logs Newspaper Wax cubes Fire starters The side elbow also makes lighting easier by allowing direct access to the burn chamber without fumbling underneath the chimney. Built from heavy-duty steel with reinforced construction, heat shielding, laser-cut detailing, and BBQ Dragon’s signature industrial styling, the Chimney of Insanity doesn’t just perform differently — it looks different. This is not a basic charcoal chimney. It’s a high-performance charcoal ignition system built for people who love fire, live-fire cooking, and serious BBQ. ## Features - FIRE UP YOUR GRILL IN RECORD TIME: The BBQ Dragon Charcoal Chimney Starter quickly lights your charcoal, getting your grill to the perfect temperature faster, so you can start cooking in minutes, not hours. - BUILT TO ENDURE HIGH HEAT: Made with premium, heat-resistant materials, this chimney starter can withstand frequent use and extreme temperatures, ensuring reliable, long-lasting performance every time. - ACHIEVE CONSISTENT HEAT FOR PERFECT GRILLING: Designed for even heat distribution, this charcoal chimney ensures your grill reaches a balanced temperature, giving you perfectly cooked food with no hot spots. - PERFECT FOR ANY OUTDOOR OCCASION: Whether you’re hosting a backyard barbecue, tailgating, or camping, this versatile starter works seamlessly with any grill, making it the ultimate outdoor grilling companion. - EFFORTLESS AND SAFE TO USE FOR ALL SKILL LEVELS: Simplify your grilling experience with a user-friendly design that’s safe and easy to operate, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced grill masters. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B08PQ1KYF2 | | Brand Name | BBQ Dragon | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (1,244) | | Flavor | Mesquite | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00855942007217 | | Item Form | Charcoal | | Item Type Name | Charcoal Starter | | Item Weight | 2.15 kg | | Manufacturer | BBQ Dragon | | Manufacturer Part Number | BBQD101 | | Material Type | Wax | | Model Number | BBQD101 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | UPC | 855942007217 | | Unit Count | 1.0 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** BBQ Dragon - **Flavour:** Mesquite - **Item form:** Charcoal - **Item weight:** 4.74 Pounds - **Material:** Wax ## Images ![BBQ Dragon Chimney of Insanity Charcoal Starter | Large & XL Options | Fastest & Easy to Use Huge Charcoal Chimney Starter for Charcoal Grill | BBQ Accessories | Compatible w Fan - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71piAMhlWsL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Frequently Bought Together - BBQ Dragon - Charcoal Chimney Starter for Coal Grill (Extra Large) - BBQ Dragon Charcoal Fan - Cordless Grill Fan for Camping, Fireplace, and Smokers - Heavy Duty BBQ Air Blower with Adjustable Clamp - Portable Fire Blower for Fireplace and Campfire - BBQ Dragon Round Grill Grate – 9” Stainless Steel BBQ Grill Grate with Wood Handle – Heavy-Duty Charcoal Grill Grate & Cooking Grate – Perfect Grill Rack for Outdoor Grill, Fire Pit & Chimney Starters --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/276219094-bbq-dragon-chimney-of-insanity-charcoal-starter-large-and-xl](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/276219094-bbq-dragon-chimney-of-insanity-charcoal-starter-large-and-xl) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-04*
