Super easy to install. All the parts go right together and instructions lay it all out for you to do. Rain barrel works great and hose bib hooks right up a normal garden hose without leaking.

The bulkhead and faucet are well made and sturdy. Instructions are clear and include important details like “ wrap Teflon tape five times”. The standard three left mine leaking. Five layers was perfect. Having used other bulkheads, I want to assure you, one silicone washer on the inside of the barrel is the best design available. You simply clean the surfaces, tighten the outer nut and it’s done. Silicone or rubber on both sides causes problems. One must very carefully tighten, tight, but not too tight, and adding a hose can easily change the ideal tightness. This one has it right in every way. I have used it daily for two months, and I am confident this faucet will last. The valve is still smooth. Everything looks strong, without leaks. I have seen many other designs and especially plastic that I know will not last, and product reviews seem to agree with me. A second valve was installed today on a second barrel. It was so much easier than the first. I’m very happy with this product.

Great product - precision craftsmanship. Wanted to create a rain barrel and plug a hose bib near bottom of the barrel. Originally had PVC plugs and bib but threads kept stripping out, leaked like a sieve. No problem with this Brass spigot! Easy bolt-on application, unit comes shipped with everything you need in a fully protected box so almost no chance of any damage during shipping (should have took pic of the box before I installed the valve - better late then never). Cant say the same thing for similar type of items I've gotten from other vendors. These guys show their care for their products and their customers!My only comment for improvement about this product - be helpful if the washer and flange size was bit bigger for this kind of application. Existing washer barely covered the hole drilled in the barrel, which was not easy getting a "precise" size opening. The square black thing you see inside the barrel was my own oversize washer I cut from a 1/8 thick rubber strip. In spite of this minor issue, I still think everything worth 5 stars - Overall an excellent product.In any case, my rain barrel project is a success - No stripped threads, no Leaks! I'm a happy camper...

My first rainbarrel had a small tube molded into the bottom that a hose was pushed onto and held in place with a clamp. Well, that small tube was sloped to allow the hose to be pushed on easier and therefore it was always getting popped off. Finally decided this year was the year to close off that tube and put in a better spigot. This one was extremely easy to install, and I had a small opening so used the string that came with it...what a simple yet highly efficient way to get the first parts on...I was very impressed with the design and especially happy that the handle is also metal. I did the installation in just a few minutes, and put a plug and a heavy coating of silicone glue over the old tube. This week is scheduled for rain, and I am really happy with the quality of this spigot...it is going to make the rainbarrel much much better to use and a welcomed bit of confidence that the hose isn't going to fall off!

I purchased this kit to set up a buffer tank for a pressure washer. As supplied, the only things I needed to complete the installation were a hole saw and a weight to aid in accessing the rope.I positioned the mount hole a little lower than YouTube video recommendations, but high enough to clear the bulkhead fitting flange, cleaned around the hole to reduce leak paths, installed the fitting and nut, and then torqued down everything snuggly.After taping and installing the spigot, I filled the barrel and checked for leaks. Finding none, I measured flow rate next since this will need to supply at least 4.4 GPM for the washer pump. With about 15 gallons in a 55 gallon barrel, I noted a little over 4 gallons per minute flow. Under power, with the barrel supplying water to the pump, this setup easily met the pump's input needs.The brass components all appear to be of good build quality - everything fit as it should and I'm happy with kit performance.

Great product. I do have a tip for placing this on a closed top barrel with only a bunghole on the top. Do not use the enclosed cord; use a straightened out coathanger, feed it down through the bunghole and out the drilled hole. Now slide your nut down the wire.

It was easy to install and use, keeps the dogs from accessing the water hole.

I do not believe you will find a better one. It’s heavy and solid. Could probably throw it against a brick wall and then drive over it and it would look the same. I recently purchased my third one. I use them to make rain barrels.
