BEASON IPX4 Waterproof Portable Bluetooth Speaker with deep Bass & 15 Hours Playtime

First, why 4 stars? Because "I like it" instead of love it. I tried other speakers (ones that go on the water bottle cage on the downtube and didn't like them, the sound came very low so I gave up on that idea. Suddenly I came across this little fellow and now I'm happy, but first, my use case:1- Daily bike commuter.2- Speaker is attached to an extension bar (Docooler GUB 31.8MM Double Handlebar Extension Mount Carbon Fiber Extender Holder for Bike Light Bicycle Speedometer instead of being attached to the handlebar.3- I ride in Seattle so waterproof is a must.4- I connect it to a very old android phone (4.4.4).5- I use gloves so this needs to work with gloves6- I use the Amazon Music app so the buttons control that app (like pause, skip, etc)Pros1- Sound is good up to about 28mph (at full volume).2- Because it sits on the handlebar, the sound is "targeted"3- the buttons are easy to press with gloves4- All my use cases work (above)Cons1- The rattle moves the speaker inside the cage a lot and the D-Ring bothers a lot in that sense.ConclusionIt’s not a life changing device but it really works, you will like it, and you can still take your water bottle on your bike cage.Please, if my review helps, can you mark it as such on the buttons below? having issues with pausing music not even a week of having it and pause button doesnt work hopefully tech service can help! other than that works great! love the accessories that it comes with. bass could be better connects to my macbook bluetooth no problem. While testing distance I walked out of my living room to my other room with my macbook and with wooden doors closed got to about 15 feet then it started struggling with connectivity on the other hand with doors open it got to pretty much at 30 feet. In addition, I tested the FM radio while it is still convenient feature it only has 4 stations to choose from which is enough for me. Overall great sound cant wait to use it outdoors.UPDATE! 9/4/2016: After corresponding with great customer service at BEASON via email. I realized that speaker is working as it should. In actuality it's the way my mac bluetooth settings are configured it doesn't allow me to pause music from the Beason IPX4 device. Thank BEASON for clearing this up!

I purchased it as a second speaker for rough and tough use, when I couldn't be bothered to sync my phone or fiddle with bluetooth. So having a micro SD card slot was a must.I expected a very basic unit with mediocre sound quality, especially since the primary speaker I use is the JBL Flip 3, which has very good sound quality. I must say that I am pleasantly surprised. Its almost as good. Yes, the sound quality is a little bit lower, but you notice it only if you are listening to very taxing songs in a very quiet room.Outdoors, you can't tell the difference.The sound level is also appreciably high, and FM reception is pretty decent in my area.Cons :Somehow cannot pair it with Windows 10 Laptops, only works with my phone.

This is a great BT speaker. Did not give 5 stars because the BT signal strength was not as strong as I would have hoped. We used the product on our week beach trip to North Carolina. Used it within the condo, on the beach and on the balcony. The sealed feature of the speaker was tested on the sandy beach and on the balcony during a rain storm. Worked great. We found the fully charged speaker to have adequate play time. This is a really rugged speaker. It can take a good beating. The sound is really good and can get quite loud. It's nice that it has multiple options for audio: bluetooth, aux-in, micro sd, and it even has a built-in FM tuner.It comes with a large amount of accessories, including a bicycle mount. But best of all is that the speaker has a small but very sturdy hook attached to it, which makes it very versatile.One downside is that despite looking like it has speakers all around, sound is really only coming out in one direction. It's not a deal-breaker, but just make sure your device is positioned so that it sounds good. Also, the aux-in capability requires you to use a little adapter (which is included). It's not the end of the world but it does take the space where you would power it.Speaking of battery, 15 hours is a large exaggeration. Unless you're using a very quiet volume with aux-in or the FM tuner, you're not going to get that. Using bluetooth with the volume maxed out, I generally get closer to 6 hours.
