Triangle of Pain: material inside of the boot/shoe was sticking down.
I am not one to purchase something without extensive research, and I am sad to say this shoe/boot did not match what I researched. I was very excited to get them, could not wait to try them out on my bike; before I even put them on I was disappointed. First and foremost the black rubber strap which holds the shoe on looked aged (it was dry, cracking in some areas and one of the rivets was popping through the leather). The white also was pretty scuffed for being a brand new shoe. These were all things I could have ignored... until I put them on.At first I thought something was in them, maybe I had missed some cardboard which kept the upper part of the shoe in place. So I stuck my hand in and discovered what I was feeling was part of the shoe. Let me try to explain this; it seems as though there was some extra material in the inside of the shoe, and instead of cutting it out the manufacturer simply glued it to the top of the shoe. The problem is it seems to have detached and now is a triangle of pain which hits you right on your first knuckle of your big toe. To imagine this, if you place your finger on your big toe and trace it back till you hit the first knuckle (point your big toe down and you can see it), right here is where you feel it.I thought maybe I could push it back and it would re-seal; it did not. Then I tried to just ignore the pain and I wore them around the house for a hour, it didn't go away and once I was done the spot was sore for several hours. Now, I did some checking and I could only find one other review on a different website in which a guy stated the exact same problem as mine. Usually I would just assume it was a defect and order a different pair. However, the guy stated he tried three others on with the same problem. I really don't want to keep risking this, so I will be returning them for a different shoe.PROS:- Cheaper shoe; won't kill your wallet.- Looks nice, many options for color.- Love the design, it really is aggressive.- The buckle across the top is nice, easy to use and decent in getting on and off.- Really like the reflectors on the back of the shoe (one of the reasons I got them).CONS:- The triangle of absolute pain in both shoe/boots.- Cheap; the material (except what is leather) feels and looks cheap.- I liked the steep crop... until I walked around in them.- The white (as can be expected) will easily show any wear or tear.- The sole is more stiff than I thought, more like clomping around than walking. All in all, I would have kept them had the inside of the shoes not have the painful triangle. Honestly I think this shoe is older and is not in production anymore, and it has aged in the box.4/10, would not recommend.

Lower strap and sole are the achilles of this shoe/boot.
I have used it just a few times, and even though I'm so far pleased, I am a lil concerned. The sole is made of a main sole and two smaller pieces of sole (heel and toes area). The two smaller pieces are glued to the main one, however both front smaller soles (toe area) have a section that it is not glued (not sure if it done intentionally or by error). If you press it, you will feel giving away until it touches the inner parts of the boot. Therefore, I'm concenred that the front part of the sole will rip off by itself or if it gets tangled witht the foot peg it may come off. The other thing is the lower buckle (the one with the aluminum latch). The main section is made up of plastic. Therefore, as you open and close the buckle it worns out, and I am afraid that at some point it won't hold the latch in place, which will lead to the buckle toopen by itself (right now is starting to show some wear). Finally, the main sole is made up ofsome sort of soft rubber. Again, I have used it a few times and the sole is showing some wear. The shoe itself is sturdy and it does offer good protection, but the achilles of this shoe would be the sole and the lower strap. I bought them for a really good price, so if they last a little over a year I would somewhat satisfied,

Quality’s not so awesome.
If I got in a wreck on my bike, these shoes would fly off my body so fast. It rained maybe 15 minutes real light today and they’re filled with water. For $110 the straps coulda been a bit more functional. The straps literally fall right off. There’s a lot of sloppy glue and lose stitching at the base and fabric sewn up between other fabrics in one picture.I’m not sure if I’m pissed or just settling but I can’t return them soaked or washed so I’m down 110 bucks and need to find a different pair elsewhere.Major disappointment.

Looks good, poorly put together
So, I thought it looked nice and fit pretty well at first, looked to be decent quality, I put it on and walked around the house to make sure it was good before I decided to use it, I went out riding with it a couple times and one of the buckles would pop open while I'm riding which was quite annoying but it wasn't too had so I kept using it to ride and a few days later, the screw on the slider tell out and I have to idea where, the initial quality seems good at first but seems to be put together poorly quite disappointed 😞

Overall good purchase
Front buckle has tendency to pop off while riding. Because of its adjustability. A bit of electrical tape to keep it from shifting after adjustment is set and all good. Tape not noticeable so don’t find it a problem. Very comfy once broken in after about a week. Can wear all day without being aware

Cheap where it matters
Same complaints as a few other people. The strap for one of the boots broke after two months (wore them maybe 3 times / week). The front part of the right boot was also pushing down which is painful while walking around. Because, according to Joe Rocket, Amazon isn't an authorized seller, don't expect Joe Rocket to do anything about it (they refused to help me). If it breaks for you, like many others, you are likely out of luck. The cheap quality was very surprising to me, motorcycle safety gear is the last thing a manufacturer should skimp on. I will stray away from anything else Joe Rocket makes.

Poor design
The boots look great, and fit well. The design of the buckle is poor. The strap where the buckle is mounted is very thin, and broke on my second use. I did not over tighten the strap.

Poor quality , came broken
Came with broken strap , very bulgy, big shoe. Quality very poor and the overall feel not great at all. Feels like it should be $30.I don’t wanna deal with returning this item I’ll just accept the loss I guess.

Very cheap quality
Had these shoes for about 2 months, worn for maybe 10 hours total and the buckle on the left foot has broken off the shoe. Very disappointed in the quality of these shoes. Save your money and buy something else.
