The power strip I use for my computer is in a place where it collects a lot of dust and at some point, it bothered me that the dust could get into the outlets and then get electrocuted or cause a fire or something. I'm not sure how great the risk of that happening is, but I got these outlet covers so I would never have to think about it. Thank goodness, what a relief. The thought of dusting the power strip, too, was not good, as it would be difficult to unplug it first, due to where it's located, so that I could safely dust it with a damp cloth to get all of the dust, as opposed to the dry-dusting style of dusting which pushes the dust around from one location to the other. Now I don't have to scheme around that because going forward I can just damp-dust the extension cord which is now safe with the outlet covers, whew. One less thing to worry about.These outlet covers are a simple thing, but details matter and I'm very glad to have these. I can see using them in the kitchen, too, on outlets which may get splashed with water or which may get poked with metal utensils (I have an outlet in my kitchen right next to my utensil crock, which has a granny fork in it which could potentially get into the outlet while I'm putting another metal utensil away in the crock and then I could get electrocuted from that). These outlet covers just make it so that I don't have to think about any dangers from live outlets at all. I don't go around stressing from the live outlet situation or anything like that, but I see the outlet and the dust or the metal utensils and so it then crosses my mind that something could go wrong. These outlet covers are an easy solution to resolve the whole thing and I highly recommend having them, they're very worth it!!

Easy to install and absolutely essential if you have little ones. I loved the quality and how simple they are to put on. Perfect for moms like me with curious babies who love reaching for outlets! Very useful product at a great price. Totally recommend it!

Now that they have started crawling and want to touch, feel, and poke everything, I was scared initially and had to quarantine all the areas with plugs and sockets. But not anymore — with this, I’ve covered all the plugs, and now I allow my kid to explore every corner of the house.Very easy to plug and remove as their slot on top to remove with help of a '-' screwdriver. Trust my a kid wont be able to remove it.

These Safety 1st Plug Protectors are a simple, affordable solution for babyproofing your home. We used them in every outlet within crawling distance, and they’ve held up well. I love that these cover the entire holes for the plug as I like to keep them in as an extra “insulator” for the winter/summer months. Other brands I’ve used have only covered up the 2 hole pieces and left out that third rounded piece (which is also probably a huge hazard). Won’t order any other brand.
