Perfect replacement for original KitchenAid beater for my K5SS. Anyone who uses their mixer a lot knows that sooner or later the paint peels off the bottom of the flat beater and then it has to be replaced. With no paint and a smooth stainless steel surface this beater is a much better solution. Feels like it will be quite sturdy. I am quite pleased and wish I'd bought this much sooner!! I previously ordered a different flat stainless steel beater that looked good but was slightly shorter than the original one. As a result it would do a worse job of getting to the material at the bottom of the bowl which is already a problem at some times. There are many on Amazon that look similar to that one, they may or may not all be the same. This one (with a QAP logo on the shank) reaches to exactly the same place at the bottom of the bowl as the original. Some have complained that it's hard to install on the mixer, that is not an issue for me as it attaches quite easily. The mixing shape of this beater is taller than that of the OEM version. No doubt that's a good thing if you really fill the mixing bowl but otherwise I can't say at this point if that makes any significant difference pro or con.

I was apprehensive about purchasing this product thinking it might not fit my particular kitchen aide mixer. My old beater was losing the coating so a new one was a necessity. My old original beater didnt really touch the sides so I figured as long as I could find one to attach properly I’d adjust. I double checked model number and researched the fit and have to say I love my new one. It looks great. It is strong and best of all it fits and does the job. Not any snugger than my old one but a great purchase. Very satisfied. Thank you. Amazons return policy in case it didn’t work was a real incentive !

FINALLY after multiple purchases I have found a paddle attachment that works with my KSM5673 Costco kitchen aid mixer!!! It’s also heavy duty and seems like a quality attachment!!

Perfect for my 1980's Kitchen aid, I got off marketplace. The one that came with it, was chipped up, this is clean, stainless steal, and reaches to the bottom of the bowl!

Fits my machine perfectly. I love that it's stainless steel and I no longer have to worry about any flaking from my accessories. It's heavier than the original beater but it hasn't created any noticeable difference in the performance of my machine. So very happy to find accessories to fit my machine and very pleased with the quality of this piece.

I wish I would’ve bought this sooner!! It doesn’t chip paint like the original kitchen aid paddle! Heavy duty, easy cleaning. Fit my 6qt kitchen aid perfectly.

Size: FB5HD; Mixer Model: KSM5. The build quality of the beater is very nice. It's also easy to clean. Unfortunately, it is difficult to install and remove from the mixer due to no space between the paddle's hole and the mixing arm. I wrap one arm over the mixer top to get leverage to get the beater on. To remove, I usually need to use a screwdriver to pry it off.

I have an enamel coated flat beater that was beginning to chip, and had concerns about the coating ending up in food. Lots of nasty stuff can happen. This one is a very solid feeling piece of steel. I can't tell if it's just one piece, or if there's welds. I think it's just one piece, which I think is good for longevity and strength. It does weigh SIGNIFICANTLY more than the original flat beater. The enamel one is 168g. This steel one is a whopping 325g. I have to think that amount of weight is going to mean more wear on the motor, and also it'll be significantly scarier if something drops into the mixing bowl while it's going (stainless WHACK!).

I'm always a bit hesitant when ordering off-brand, but I'm very happy with the quality of this paddle and how well it fit my KitchenAid stand mixer.

Works great, better than the original one that came with the mixer as this is stainless and doesn't have the chipping ceramic or aluminum top mount.. so you can put it in the dishwasher. The extra bars inside mix better as well.
