Draw Groovy: Groovy Girls Do-It-Yourself Drawing & Coloring Book (Kids DIY)

This is a great little book! I not only use it with my grand daughters, I use it too.😊So many fun and useable ideas. I am a painter and so often, I get stuck when looking for the little touches that change a picture from average to outstanding. This book helps with those little details. Even a little star in the right place can change things up. I do a lot of ‘60’s kind of psychedelic things and this book has so many fun and appropriate ideas to jazz things up. So happy to have this book in my artwork library!

My 8 year old daughter loves this book. The basic designs are simple and it gives lots of ideas to decorate each design. One thing I really like about the book is that the samples give a large variety of shapes, so that a child doesn't get disappointed that his/her drawing is not exactly like the one shown in the book. My daughter, for example, drew an owl with a narrow head and a hugely wide body. When she seemed frustrated, I pointed to a sample that was sort of like hers and mentioned that all the owl drawings are different and adorable. That was enough to give her the confidence to finish her own sketch.

I bought it "used", it arrived in almost perfect condition. The "how to draw" part isn't as detailed as I hoped. But it will definitely help with groovy inspiration

This is a delightful book that gives step by step instructions for drawing! It is really fun to look through and emulate the drawings!

Fantastic book - for adults, too! I am beginning to do some art journaling, but I need inspiration for whimsical drawings and doodles. This book is great because it shows basic shapes and also very fun variations for inspiration. I bought the Kindle version so I always have it with me for spontaneous drawings wherever I am.

No excuses now! Artist and art web site host, Thaneeya McCardle, has wriiten ... and drawn ... a book that makes drawing funky shapes and images easy and fun. You can see her sense of joy for art and drawing in this entertaining and informative book. I'm an experienced artist, and I still found Draw Groovy to be extremely helpful.

I ordered this for my 14 year old granddaughter and 10 yeR old grandson. They both like to make their own gift cards and also little stories. They were both very happy with the book and I can look forward to lots of nice cards.

We LOVE this book. Step by step instructions for drawing the cutest things. My daughter is six and she and her friends had fun drawing and then coloring these pictures--by themselves! And I will confess, I truly enjoy drawing them myself!

Gleichzeitig eine kleine Zeichenlehre, die aber sehr schön aufzeigt, wieviele Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten sich aus einfachen Motiven ergeben. Für mich persönlich ist dieses Heft ein besonderer Anreiz, sich auch mal an der Kreation eigener Bilder auszuprobieren.Schaffen statt konsumieren ist für mich das herausragende Thema dieses Heftes, das allerdings leider nicht perforiert ist.

The book is a helpful way in teaching doodle art. It teaches how to create new creative patterns with help of lines and circles. But could have incorporated more designs and space for practicing designs.

My Granddaughter loves it. Great to have handy when the other grandkids visit as well
