I'm a 9.5 or 10 / 44 shoe size and the size 10 /44 fitted perfectly. Very comfortable out the box and have been up above the ankle in a stream this morning without incident. Look and feel well made. Nice weight to them - you know you're wearing a high boot, but they don't begin to feel like you've strapped on some weights after a few miles!Hopefully will last a good few years and at this price that's a bargain.Thumbs up to ShoeStation who promised 2 day delivery and managed it in less than 24 hrs. I'm using these for forest school and Bushcraft, after my Jack Pykes fell apart.These are comfortable from day 1, very little breaking in required, and have the perfect combination of ankle support and flex, to make them a good choice for bushcrafters.I found the fit to be spot on, I use the lacing to isolate parts of the boot I like tight and parts where I prefer a looser fit.

Since receiving boots I have been on several wet, muddy, snowy long walks. A good testing for the boots. Felt very sure footed with ankles and heels well supported . No water ingression and boots tall enough to deal with deep snow/mud and puddles. The main reason for choosing these boots is that I have a very high arch and instep plus a swollen arthritic ankle and the full height lacing means easy access and full adjustability. Wellies are not an option for me!The only reason I have not given 5 stars is that I find the boots quite heavy but given that they are a tall boot that is only to be expected

Yes yes yes. Comfy from the box broke them in with a 10 mile stroll through mud and fire and death and suffering to emerge the other side a happy fella. The dog was a bit annoyed, I told her the boots would never fit her and she'd have to get wet feet.

Excellent cushioning without being too soft.
