Fixed my espresso machine!
I purchased to replace a relay in a PID espresso machine. The machine had been overheating. Now it works great and I am very pleased with this purchase.

Doesn't leak
I bought this to replace a leaky, generic ssr which came with a pid kit. I wasn't satisfied with the ssr leaking voltage when off/open.This one has essentially no leakage.Idk exactly how to test amp draw, but the previous ssr was leaking 100 out of 120 volts (at low amperage, enough to power a neon indicator light, which was unwanted behavior). This ssr leaks 7 volts at presumably negligible amperage, meaning essentially not at all.(some minor leakage is apparently normal with solid state relays, but this one is much better in that regard than the one it's replacing).I haven't used it enough to know if there will be any problems with temp or durability, but I don't expect any issues. If this review is old and hasn't been updated, assume no problems ever occurred.I am using a heatsink with thermal paste, but in an enclosed box so no airflow, but also at less than half of the rated amperage (powering a smoker element that runs off of a 15 amp residential circuit. I can't imagine there's much inrush current, so 15 amps is probably max draw, and it's probably less than that).

Still works after many cycles
I bought this since it was reasonably priced and shipped overnight, and I needed it for a custom project with a tight timeline. It is overrated for my circuit, which only draws up to 2 amps, but I still mounted it to a quality heatsink. I may pull it for a different project some day so the extra capacity is nice to have. Used in a cooling circuit with a 12V control voltage that cycles the SSR multiple times an hour. Has been working just fine for weeks and I expect it will continue to do so.

Can not be reliably triggered by 3.3v
I am using this relay in a DIY spot welder to connect 120V AC power to a modified microwave oven transformer. The relay was supposed to be triggered by an Arduino-compatible 3.3v micro board. I noticed that although it appeared to be working fine (the red LED lighted up when triggered), the transformer was heating up rapidly to a smoke point while barely producing any power on secondary coil. After a long troubleshooting session which involved a thorough examination of the transformer and all the circuitry, I found the culprit -- it was the relay which, when triggered by 3.3 volts, was entering a peculiar "half-on" state, apparently closing the circuit only for brief moments during AC power cycle. That was throwing the transformer out of balance and causing it to heat up. I had to add a transistor to my circuit which boosted the trigger signal from 3.3 to 5 volts, and that finally solved the issue.

Make it clear the SS relays need a load in order to work
I ordered this relay for a project. All wired up. Red light came on. Tested continuity with Fluke ohm meter. No continuity. Sent back. Replaced quickly. (Great service). Same result. No continuity. Happened that our adult son was with me, and advised me to put a load across the NO contacts. Worked perfectly. So I returned the first relay for no good reason. But in the product description I cannot find anything about a minimum load in order for the relay to work. Works very well in my project. Service on return was excellent. Would be much better to have an explanation about needing at least a minimum load.
