I got exactly what I ordered, according to the number. But the description mis-led me. The OD of the plate threads are 6", not the advertised 5 7/16", which is exactly what I needed. Then there is the lip protecting the threads; the top of the screwed out plate is 6 1/2". The flange portion adds to that, making the entire assembly close to 8". I needed to replace 3 older deck plates that had the exact measurements of what was advertised here. Unfortunately, this is a standard 6" plate. I will have to cut out the holes to make this work. Besides that, the construction seems to be great. The plates I am replacing are 35 year old Sea Dogs so these should last a while too.

Easy choice for me. It installed easily, the name of the game is having sharp blades on your jigsaw and making sure you have enough room to move the jigsaw around the area you want to cut. Clean the area well and always use a marine caulk (3M 5200 is the best choice if it is a permanent installation in wet damp area and make sure you secure the lid in place before tightening the screws or you may have a warped deck plate.

I installed this in the fresh water tank of my rv for easier filling. It worked great, was easy to install (I cut hole with a Rotozip) and did not leak. Highly recommend for this application.

This fit my 1995 shamrock perfectly with the same threads on the existing ports. Came quickly with no issues

The sizing information is wrong in the description. it is actually about 8" in diameter. Much too big for my needs. I had to return the item and source locally due to time constraints.
