There is a warning from the printer that this ink cartridge is not an HP cartridge and quality cannot be assured. But the print quality is fine once that warning is bypassed. Comparable quality for 20% of the price of the HP cartridges with the reserve that I have only used the black cartridge and have yet to use the color ones.

For several replacement cycles of ink cartridges, I always feared using the non-hp brands after reading horror stories of inoperable printer machines and faulty print results caused by these brands. And so, for years, I would go with the hp 950/951 cartridge set. Finally, I could not any longer put up with the soaring high prices of the hp product and decided on the Valuetoner set priced at a small fraction of the hp set. The result: SO FAR, SO GOOD. After installing the four-cartridge set in my hp8600 today, the test page came out PERFECT! I had absolutely no problem with non-hp cartridge error codes. One such message did come up on my printer and was immediately dismissed by pushing the 'OK' image on the touch screen. And don't worry about 'voiding the machine warrantee.' Federal law prohibits such influence by the OEM. Pricewise, I received two Valuetoner 4-packs for $43, that's $5.37/unit vs. one hp 4-pack at $134, that's $33.50/unit. What a deal!

Simply that it worked. All my attempts to use generic ink have failed miserably . So I expected this product would fail. However because it came from Amazon I knew I could return it. Much to my absolute shock it worked from the get go! It’s still working and cost about 20% of the original brand
