For Whatever reasons this cartridge seems to be lightly scraping up against my vinyl. Can anyone tell me why that is? It's becoming really annoying.

Thanks all. I use it for 33 1/3 LPs with 1.5g, anti-skating to match, clean LP surface and using a soft watercolor brush for the stylus. The stylus and cartridge position has been measured using the Technics 52mm tool, mounted to an Ortofon headshell. Nothing about my use has changed over the years except that the last couple of OM and 1E stylus is EXTREMELY fragile for normal everyday use. From brand new to worn flat in 20 minutes of use!

Can I mount this cartridge with the screws coming up from the bottom? That is the way my Thorens TP16 works,
